Lagos to criminalize smoking in public

Lagos state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, has said that government would enact an edict banning smoking in public places.

He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos that though the Lagos Traffic Law prohibits smoking and drinking while driving “so as to reduce accidents on the roads” it was also part of government’s plan to prohibit smoking in public places.

As long as they provide a particular area for us to smoke, sometimes we need the smoke to cool the pressure off work
