In an exercise to alleviate poverty in the state, the Zaria
Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday disbursed N13 million to
1,300 people.
The Council’s Interim Management Committee Chairman, Alhaji
Umar Rabagaddama, said the exercise was to set a pace for the beneficiaries to
at least start something that would make them become self-reliant.
The exercise which was designed by the State Governor, Mr.
Patrick Yakowa is to deal with the effects of poverty among the people.
Since the population of Zaria is 975153 from Geographical
database, if only 1,300people were given this money…what happens to the rest?
