At a news conference in Pretoria Thursday, deputy foreign minister Ibrahim Ibrahim said: "We wish to humbly apologize to them, and we have."
Two diplomats from the Nigerian High Commission accompanied Ibrahim to the news conference, but refused to comment beyond a joint statement that described tit-for-tat deportations the two countries say should not affect their relations.
On March 2, South Africa deported 125 Nigerians who, according to airport health authorities, carried fraudulent yellow fever cards. Since then, authorities in Lagos have deported South Africans, raising health concerns.

They were lucky, if not MTN would have been nationalized within 24hrs :)

This is how should be, Nigeria standing up for its citizen, the number of companies that so called south african countries in Nigeria would have gone back too to their own contry or better put......nationalised.
Its good to do act credibly....govt well done on this
Aplolgy is not enough, from today they should be fair on their decisions to giving visa to Nigerian, the have discriminated us alot.
Yellow cards is all scam....indirectly displaying their jealousy
What baffles me is that they sent the passengers backwhen they cld have easily ask them to take yellow fever injection at the airport than sending back...it means their motives were not pure.
Their apology is not ok, shop right and mtn shld be shut for six months for giving such embarrassment
The south African are ungrateful...they are have 4gotten so soon that we helped during the apartheid period.
During apartheid period we even paid for their citizens in Nigeria on their education, so what is giving such right to be rude to us eh? infact let them go, thank God the senator was affected in this case that's why this have been brought to the limelight
