NDLEA Incapable of paying 25million to Baba Suwe

On Friday, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been ordered by a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, to pay the popular Actor/comedian, Babatunde Omidina, (Baba Suwe) within 21 days.

The national Enforcement Agency said the N25Million awarded Baba Suwe is half the monthly its budgetary resources and has to perform its constitutional duties. That they were being constrained to pay the sum awarded as damages due to lack of fund.

Baba Suwe’s lawyer ,Mr Bamidele Aturu rejected the agency’s excuse for inability to pay the judgement debt, said NDLEA  receives a total sum of N7,813,793,322 cannot be incapable of not paying the N25 due to his client. And Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Femi Oloruntoba, the agency responded saying that the total 2011 budgetary allocation, N7.1bn was earmarked for personnel cost, leaving only N633m as its total annual overhead cost.

This back and forth statements from these two….. Director, Prosecution and Legal Services and Baba Suwe’s Lawyer…Do you think Baba Suwe will be paid this huge amount of money? 21days is almost here, we are watching.
