Lawyers threaten to sue CBN over N5000 note

The association rejected the argument of the CBN that the introduction of the N5000 note will not promote inflation noting that the realities of the Nigerian economic situation cannot be found in the Western Business Models that the CBN officials are familiar with.


The NBA observed that Nigerians may well see a N10, 000 or N20, 000 notes very soon.

Fire rages for two days - Pipeline explosion at Arepo…

 
According to officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the fire started at about 10PM Wednesday night following a gun battle between NNPC security men and some unidentified individuals suspected to be pipeline vandals.

However, efforts by the NEMA officials to get to the scene of the incident to ascertain the extent of damage done has been hampered by the swampy nature of the area which has made access to the place difficult.

Up till now today the raging fire has not been quenched ………

Customs launch aircraft to fight smuggling

The aircraft which was launched at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday,August 31^st, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala say this will help the Service to strengthen aerial surveillance of the different terrain that dot the nation’s borders.
