White dresses weren't common at all for weddings until they first became popular with Victorian era elites after Queen Victoria wore a white lace dress at her wedding.
It's now a part of 'Western Tradition' however, Western Tradition also states that no one but the bride should wear white at the wedding and here all of the guests appear to be in white. Not a traditional wedding at all. Hopefully we can grow out of the 'White Wedding' tradition, along with that 2 month's salary on a chunk of clear rock that some child probably mined out of a pit.

At least she wore cream which means she has not pure, unlike some women with children and you see them wearing bright white
