The Sun Editor shot in robbery attack

An unknown gunman shot the Daily Editor of popular tabloid, The Sun newspaper, at the Mazamaza, Mile 2 area of Lagos on Wednesday.
The shooter who fired at Nwosu’s head, had together with other members of his robbery gang, trailed the journalist to the Mazamaza branch of a new generation bank, where he had gone to withdraw money.

As his driver was negotiating a bend from Agboju towards the newspaper’s headquarters at Kirikiri, the gang had gone into action.

Several shots were fired into the air as they allegedly demanded the money after intercepting the vehicle, with the motorcycles they used in the operation.

The editor was then shot as the hoodlums made away with the cash.

Nwosu was then rushed to a private hospital in the area by his driver, and is said to be responding to treatment.
