REAL TALK- A case of suffering and smiling, what one has to go through to get to his/her home

Smh! literally one can’t get access to his/her home during the raining season without encountering one or two problems with the car because of the deplorable roads………….this is Lagos city not the remote parts of the state but the metropolitan  areas.

It got me thinking, with all the taxes we pay, the toll gate fees, when can we have that smiling face driving into our homes without complaining of perpetual habit of going to the mechanic workshop to repair/replace a part of the car that was damaged becaused of the bad /flooded roads or having a towing van to get our cars to our compound especially during this raining season? No doubt it will happen, but the big question is when?

The roads are major concern to every living soul, i tell u, do you know we spend valuable time in traffic for example i am a morning person, spending time in traffic from 7am to 8.30pm is frustrating,i know what i can produce within ds hrs without d traffic

The road to my estate somewhere at d island was so bad that we d resident had tocontribute huge amt of money to make it motorable

Anonymous said...

So it has come to that indidviduals will now have to repair their roads, after paying4rent,spending so much 4 houseto be comfy,pay4 security and services now roads

Murphy said...

Our roads are pathetic, the govt shld come to our aids not just d major roads that need repair

Anonymous said...

There no rewards repairing non major roads in ds country, d govt only do that they know they have large benefits

The govt is trying, we must applaud them esp d Lagos state gov.the truth of d matter is that we are over popluated, have tried visiting d port...d amt of cars that come in everyday?not to talk of each family that has more than 2 cars & ds cars have to be on d roads,so why there be traffic no matter how gd &wide d roads are

Helen said...

The bad roads contribute to d bad traffic if the roads are gd even if a family has 10 cars get them to d rds at same time, pple will not sleep on d roads all d name of nightmare or wake up so early to hit d road4 work...our govt shld wake up and do d honorable thing, haba! take a look at d photo on ds topic is it appalling in a city not rural areas

The worse part is some drivers driving ds cars dont know when not to speed on a flooded rd,that has a sign post not more than 40km,u find them speeding splashing dirty water on pedestrians,it once happened to me on my way to work..if that kind of person slow down when see pple like walking down to catch a bus.....

Ejiro said...

The roads, drivers and road instructors in ds country need therapy..............lol! have u realised that most places do not have signs, u when u do one way, u pay thru ur nose?

Anonymous said...

Nawo! development in ds nation is still along way, everything that has to do road instruction we are far behind...we that live close to d roads, blaring wake us up, we dont need to set alarm clock,if u live in Iyanapkaja area u'll understand what i'm talking abt
