Seven-month-old baby rescued from kidnappers



This happened in Delta state kidnappers stole this baby from his parents


The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Charles Muka, on Tuesday said the police had arrested five suspects in connection with the issue.

The child who was reportedly taken from his mother, Mrs. Linda Madaka, on July 1, during a burial ceremony at about 11 p.m. at Umunede in Ika North East LGA of Delta State was recovered at Agbor.

Mr. Muka said the detectives based on information received, trailed the suspects and arrested a Colins Osekihe who then implicated Chuks Elue. Mr. Elue and his wife have confessed involvement in the crime.

Also arrested in connection with the case is Mrs. Chkwuemeka, Chuks Okwudili and Uche Anyasi. Muka said the suspects confessed that they had bargained to sell the child to Patience Chukwuemeka for N250, 000.
Efforts are still on to arrest other suspects. The PRO however, warned parents and guardians to diligently watch their children and wards from being kidnapped.
