Just like most Rappers he started off really rough but hey! he decided to use just 5% of his brain…from being a drug dealer to an icon in the entertainment industry and now a business mogul.
An American rapper whose albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre have both achieved multi-platinum status. 50 cent (born Curtis James Jackson, 6.7.1975) was a drug dealer at the age of 12,was arrested in 1994 for cocaine to an undercover police officer. He was sentenced to three to nine years in prison but served only six months in an incarceration boot camp. In 2000 when he had quit dealing with drugs to pursue a music career
Talk about 360 degree turn,50 cent now has a new energy drink Street King. 50 Cent has linked the product to the United Nations World Food Program, promising to donate one meal for every bottle sold. It is an ambitious goal, but then Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is an ambitious man..
Jackson describes it as an evolution. "It has been a gradual process. At this point I need to show growth and do different things and be a strong impression on people's life without it relating to music. Music was the platform for me to get enough attention to matter. Now I can do things that are really effective."
