I am in love with my husband’s brother

This I saw on facebook today
I’M having an affair with my husband’s brother. I am deeply in love with him but he says he doesn’t do feelings.
I am 39, married 10 years but I and my husband haven’t been getting on for ages. I’ve told him repeatedly there is nothing between us anymore and that I can’t stand him being anywhere near me.
He just shrugs his shoulders and walks away, or else we end up having a row and not talking for days.

We went to his mum and dad’s golden wedding do a few months ago. His brother who was just back from working abroad came too. He is 32, had a deep tan and looked great. As soon as we started chatting there was a spark between us. We danced and laughed all evening while my husband sat in the corner talking to no one. I don’t think he was in the least bit jealous even when everyone was talking about us getting so up close and friendly.

We exchanged phone numbers at the end of the evening and the next morning I got a text saying, “Let’s meet.” I was so excited. We drove to a quiet spot and had sex and we’ve been having an affair ever since. Making love with him is magical and when we’re together I just feel so special. He is staying at his parent’s house while he’s doing some work in the area for six months. We meet whenever we can manage. Sometimes it’s during the day or occasionally he’ll take me to the cinema, and out for meals, but it’s the sex that is really special. I don’t ever want it to end and I know he can’t get enough of me either. Last week I told him I was falling for him big time.

He went really quiet and said he really likes me but it’s just a fling and he is never going to get into a serious relationship again. He asked me what I would do if he found someone else. I told him it would hurt like mad but I’d just have to accept it. He then told me he got so hurt by his ex he thought about ending his life.

I know he’s the brother I should be with but I don’t want to spoil things between us by putting him under pressure. I want him as a friend and lover.

Obiora was arraigned to court in Lagos yesterday.

In case you missed the initial story, here is a recap now he has been charged to court:

Arthur Obiora has been charged of three counts: threat to life, attempted rape and attempt to cause bodily harm at Tinubu Magistrate court.

The prosecutor, ASP A. C. Orji, told the court that Obiora met Nkiruka Akabuogu on Facebook and invited her to a club house in Apapa where they had drinks.

The prosecutor said the pair later moved to Obiora’s house at Block 10, Flat 317, 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos. Orji said Obiora, who claimed to be an unemployed graduate of Igbinedion University Okada and the Centennial College, Ontario, Canada, shut all the doors in the apartment and demanded to have sex with Akabuogu. “This was after he had smoked some wraps of Indian hemp. He tried to rape her and threatened to kill her with a bottle of beer.

The girl, fearing for her life, then jumped down from the third floor of the high/rise building,” Orji said. The prosecutor said that the incident happened at about 3 am on October 31. “The girl was discovered to be lying unconscious in a pool of her own blood about 30 minutes later by the security men in the premises who then reported it to the police. “The police took the girl to a hospital and after she regained consciousness, obtained her statement,’’ Orji said.

“This case highlights one of the major problems of the social media. The young lady went to visit someone she doesn’t know. She met the defendant on Facebook and they had been chatting until October 30,” he said. Orji said that the offences contravened Sections 56 (A), 260 and 404 (1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos 2011.

The magistrate, Mr Martins Owumi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. 21-year-old Nkiruka sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured pelvis, and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, following the incident.

Dutch police bust Nigerian fake wedding scam

Dutch police have busted a wedding scam involving Dutch citizens being paid to go to Britain to marry illegal Nigerian immigrants so they can obtain residency there, prosecutors said Friday.

The gendarmerie, responsible for border security, “detained 16 women and seven men this week on the suspicion that they travelled to Britain to enter into fake marriages,” it said in a statement.

“They are almost all of Dutch Antillean origin and were flown to Britain to get married”, mainly to Nigerian men and women, it added.

Once married, the Nigerians would get legal residency in Britain and access to state welfare. In return, the Dutch collaborators would be paid 2500 euros ($3,100) to 3,500 euros. Members of the Dutch Caribbean community were used so they could be used as look-alikes for Nigerians’ real partners, who would be brought into Britain after the “wedding” to make the swap complete, prosecution service spokesman Wim de Bruin told AFP.

Called Operation Dutch Conclusion, the two-year investigation involved Dutch and British law and border security agencies and continental policing agency Europol. Dutch popular daily De Telegraaf reported Friday that British law enforcement officers had made arrests at fake “weddings” with bride and groom on the verge of exchanging vows.

“We have seen wedding dresses with the price tag still on them being used by three ‘brides’ in one day, swapping the dress just outside the church,” the paper quoted an officer only identified as Michel. Some 81 people have been arrested over the last two years, De Bruin said, mainly in Britain, of whom 66 have already been sentenced to between a few months and six years on human trafficking charges.

Those arrested in the Netherlands also face human trafficking charges, the statement added.
