Akwa Ibom State indigene residing in Nsukka stumbled upon an an unbelievable sight when the man he called his friend was caught on top of his wife in his bedroom. Both “lovers” are staff of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

 According to impeccable sources, Basil started suspecting that his wife was having an affair with the man owing to hints from neighbours. On the eventful day, Basil, it was gathered, returned home and saw both lovers pants down in his bedroom. Both lovers were trying to escape when he bumped into them, catching them in the act. It was gathered that the suspect sneaks into his friend’s house as soon as he leaves for work every day.

 “When the husband walked into the room, he saw them pants down; Jude grabbed his clothes and ran away, but the neighbours who were attracted to the scene gave him a hot chase”, the source added. Unable to bear the insult, the angry husband made for the police and reported the matter to the Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force,Nsukka.

When the reporter visited the police station on Sunday February 10, 2013, the aggrieved husband told him that he was making his statement to the police. “The thing is true, they have been doing this since and I have been suspecting them, but my wife would always convince me taking advantage of my being a non Igbo. Please wait for me, I don’t want the matter to appear in the paper”, he told the reporter.

“She locked that door for a purpose. We’ll get to that purpose. That is where she was when those shots were fired. She couldn’t go anywhere. It must have been horrific.”

I am an adult male, SA (South African) citizen and applicant in this application and seek to be released on bail. I make this affidavit of my own free will and have not been influenced. Contents is true and correct.

I fail to understand how I could be charged with murder, let alone premeditated murder because I had no intention to kill my girlfriend. I have been informed I have been accused of murder – I deny the accusation. Nothing can be further from the truth that I planned the murder of my girlfriend. I have no intention to relocate as I love my country. I earn R5.6 million ($636,000) a year. I’ve never been convicted of crimes.

 I deny that I committed murder in the strongest point. Even though I don’t have to, I want to deal with these allegations. Reeva had bought me a present for Valentine’s Day. We were deeply in love. We were deeply in love and couldn’t be happier. I loved her and I know she felt the same way. On 13 Feb Reeva would have gone out with her friends, me with mine. She wanted to stay at home.

I was watching TV. My legs were off. She was doing yoga. At the end of the evening we got into bed. I’m acutely aware of people gaining entries to homes to commit crime, I’ve received death threats. I walked back to the bed and realized Reeva was not in bed. It’s then it dawned on me it could be her in there. I kicked the door open. Called paramedics and complex security. I tried to carry her down stairs for help. I tried to help her but she died in my arms. I am mortified. With the benefit of hindsight I realize that Reeva went to the bathroom when I went to close the balcony door. I trust the South African legal system and the facts will show that I did not murder Reeva. I believe the forensic evidence will prove what I am saying. I used a cricket bat to break open toilet door.

I am an international sports star, I will not evade my trial. After the shooting I did not flee the scene. I remained until the police arrived. I don’t know of any witnesses in this matter, and I won’t interfere with any witnesses. My continued incarceration will be of “no benefit” to the state.

Bomb blast under Amuwo-Odofin/Festac Bridge

Occurred at 15:04 local time. Police confirmed the death of one person in an explosion that occurred under the festac link bridge,linking Festac Town to Amuwo odofin Housing estate.

Nigerian police say the area Commander of the lagos State,Dan Okoro said the dead was a leader of the sand dredgers under the bridge.
Another source confirmed the dead to be the chairman of the association,who operate in the water under the bridge.

Its not clear what caused the explosion.

To them, I was dead and I would never return to the country alive,” she said. “Some of them even sold my things off. “I won’t say everything here.” She said she believed she had not completed her assignment on earth, which was why God spared her. “It was not an easy one. The day I came back, I said God I have nothing to say, I offer myself to you. I will be doing things that will touch the lives of the less privilege. God gave me a second chance because I reached there.
