I don’t normally do this but this is something that should be looked
into fast……sometimes when it rains in Victoria Garden City, the water dries off within 3to 4hours,apart
from the last catastrophe few years back we had that people lost their lives, leakagesin homes in some part of Lagos. In VGC the flood took one month to dry off completely
especially at the exit entrance, the heavy traffic it caused, left many cars damaged, even jeeps broke down.
There was a promise that they will resolve these issues, but from the looks of things we are back to square one...

What triggered everything this morning was when I had gotten
ready for church service, I got an alert from
VGC maintenance department on my
phone stating flooding areas are high…..unbelievable……as I took 3mins drive to
see if there was a way I could get out of the estate and make my way to church…unfortunately
I met this photo above
Then I went online to see what the rest of Lagos was

ReplyDeleteVGC is over rated
ReplyDeleteIt is everywhere in Nigeria, there are no drainages on our roads
ReplyDeleteThe way and manner these developers encroach the ocean, in search of land to build on is one of the reasons why Lagos cannot solve this flooding crises, I just hope we don't experience something more sinister than this in future.......Eko Atlantic City is a clear example of what i'm talking about....people should fear God ooooooo
ReplyDeleteMainland is no better 2012 in surulere a family was swept to a carnal on their way home both the family and the keke driver got engorged in the carnal.
ReplyDeleteCommon sense is not common simple solution get proper waste management techniques.
ReplyDeleteOk I refuse to see Nigerian problem and self focused and myopic minds, these are problems that can solved if they will change their mentality.
ReplyDeleteVivien after seeing this, bad market for lekki gardens
ReplyDelete@oghale what has God got to do with this, the poor structure on Nigerian roads are the reasons for such, if proper foundation and adequate measures were taken from the foundation, will not find such an eye saw images
