The attack that left four people including the emir’s driver and orderly, while several others were wounded in the attack on Saturday, which was obviously targeted at the Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero on his way back to his Palace after attending a Quranic recitation competition has prompted the Emir to London.
A source at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, told PREMIUM TIMES that the emir travelled in a private jet which took off around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The source said Mr. Bayero travelled along with his eldest son Ciroman Kano, Sanusi Ado Bayero, who was hit by a bullet in the attack.
Also on the emirs entourage are his other guards who sustained injuries.
Sources also said the emir looked “Ok, because there is no sign of injury on him.”
However, Mr. Bayero may have received some injuries on his face and arms from glass shrapnel from the attack.
