The 33 year old Abiodun David John,is said to have tried
to access money
belonging to Saad Al-Hilli,who was shot dead close to Lake Annecy, in eastern France, on September 5.

Now it is claimed that John tried to access Mr Al-Hilli's
Royal Bank of Scotland and HSBC accounts within a few days of the quadruple
murders.
John's arrest by Greater Manchester Police in Salford followed a request by Annecy magistrates and Surrey Police, who are leading the hunt for the killer.

A raid on his flat yielded numerous mobile phones and documents, said an investigating source. John, in turn, insists he is innocent, and told the Manchester Evening News: 'I believe that people have been tapping into my phone and accessing my internet. 'When the police came into my house I did not know what they were talking about.
They were talking about a dead man and said that I did it - took some money from a dead man's account. Detectives have been baffled as to why Mr Al-Hilli, his wife Ikbal, 47, and mother-in-law Suhalia, 74, were shot dead. A variety of theories have emerged regarding the motive for the killings. Media reports have linked Mr Al-Hilli with a secret trust account thought to include £15million in illegal kickbacks to Saddam Hussain's regime. But French police last month denied any link between the British engineer and Saddam Hussain.
The idea that the killer may have been a lone psychopath was 'gaining ground' according to police. Officers suggested that the type of gun the killer used - a 7.65mm Luger - is not consistent with the work of a trained assassin. It has also been suggested that the cyclist killed may have been the main target and that the family were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Annecy prosecutor Eric Millaud admitted last month that there was no 'immediate prospect' of the crime being solved and that the investigation would be a long process.

on this evidence.

How stupid of him to try to access their accounts, was it not
obvious as it was a multiple murder that they would be waiting
for this!!!!!!!!
I dont care if he is jailed for 10 years, that might make people think
twice before committing crime, let alone stupid ones.
They need to find the killer(s) and this guy is the best clue they have.
Where did he get the information to access the accounts etc.
Maybe he is being used as a patsy by the real criminals to get the heat off / away
from them, so maybe they in France or elsewhere and knew he would get caught.
But he is still guilty of doing something illegal trying to access accounts that are not his.
I wouldn't like it if it happened to me so yes guilty and jail him to teach him a lesson.
Get some information from him if possible, or threaten him with being an accomplice.
The killer(s) need to be found, no matter who they are.
What may save him is he tried to access before Saad and Family died on the 5th. He has history of different names, even a First oil and gas company ltd in 2004. A David Hill acting company...all dissolved. Scammer yes..killer no.
ReplyDeleteHow he got the information had to be from someone going in house and getting a phone or documents. Saad had his locks changed not long before he went. He felt something wrong. Of course Intel could have done that. Sadd was probably followed by more than M16.
But no..I don't think he or or beautiful Russian wife..(probably only one working besides Gloria at a hairdressers she owned Nefertiti).were involved. I am certain he had friends or knowledge. He maid 2 attempts 6th and 11th before the roof fell on him. Call made from phone..not PC..if PC hacked maybe..but phone..no..he owns it now.
Certainly Karma for the scamming he did..My sympathies to the Child and mother and Gloria just trying to make an existence.
At least he has a great attorney John Black..QC very very powerful and not cheap....
