U. S. A Governor’s wife becomes a waitress to supplent her husband’s salary
Ann LePage, the wife of Maine Republican Governor,U.S.A took a waitressing job a few weeks ago to
"supplement" her husband's $70,000 per year salary, the lowest of any
U.S. governor.
The LePages live with their dog, in the Augusta governor's mansion
and bought a $215,000 Boothbay home two years ago. The governor recently tried
but failed to increase his successor's salary to $150,000 per year, above the
nearly $135,000 average for all 50 state governors in 2015.
Ann
LePage said being a waitress is something she had "always always wanted to
do."LePage, who's saving up for a Toyota RAV4, works three days a week, and is asking for more shifts at work in order to make more money.
She said: "Because of who I am and who I'm married to, I want to work extra hard just so I can show them I can do the job," she said. She doesn't tell customers, or co-workers, who she is unless they ask. She doesn't tell them because she wants to be treated like every regular worker with no preferential treatment.

David Cameron steps down as prime minister after UK votes to leave European Union
David Cameron has announced he is quitting as Prime Minister after Britain voted to leave the European Union after a nearly half a century.
In a statement outside Downing Street, and with his wife by his side, Mr Cameron said that it was “not right” for him to be “the captain that “steers the country” in a new direction.
With his voice breaking, he said: “I Iove this country and will do everything I can to serve it” but he added “the will of the British people is an instruction that must be delivered.”
Mr Cameron said he would stay on while a new Tory leader was elected but expected that he would gone by the time of the Conservative Party Conference in October.
“We must now prepare for a renegotiation with the EU. Above all this will require strong determined and committed leadership.

Flood in London as a result of Torrential rain&thunderstorm
London Underground
lines have been suspended due to the rising floods. See some of the damages it
caused in homes, commercial properties, roads and even vehicles have been trapped.
Some properties were reportedly struck by lightning, which also brought down a
tree.
Of course London Fire Brigade have appealed to people to
only dial 999 "where there is a risk to life or property" after
receiving twice as many weather-related emergency calls than they've ever
handled in 24 hours.
