Namadi Sambo runs for Vice President for Jonathan 2015 election

 President Jonathan announced this at the PDP Presidential Convention that held at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

President Jonathan who was ratified as the party's presidential candidate having won all 2,812 delegates votes at the convention, on his statement he said he picked him based on "tested and loyal" Vice President as his running mate.

6people die from Kano Bomb blast

It has been confirmed that at least 6 persons including two female suicide bombers have been confirmed dead after the attack at Filin Parking in Kantin Kwari Market in Kano yesterday  afternoon.

One female suicide bomber stationed herself at the car park of the market while another one entered a shop and blew herself up, killing everyone in the shop. Many were injured in the double blast.

Both the bombers and four others died

The Kano state Comissioner of Police, Adenrele Shinaba, said the police has cordoned off the entire market to avoid another attack.

The former Governor of the old Anambra State addressed journalists in Enugu and accused two of his children - Chukwudi and Nonso Nwobodo, of stealing the corpse of their older brother, Ifeanyi Nwobodo, who died in November after a battle with cancer as a reult to that he has disowned them.

Though it was reported that Jim Nwobodo refused for his 1st son to be buried inside his compound, insisting that he be buried outside. But his brothers refused and took his corpse away. Nwobodo addressed the problems he's having with his sons "This is not really a very happy occasion for me – at my age, I should be talking about peace and not to get involved in something like this. Ifeanyi was my first son and unknown to us, myself and my wife, his family hid him.  “When we got to know that he was sick, we were very worried, we made sure he was taken to the best cancer hospital in the US.” "From the day he died, I started planning for his burial.

 Because of politics, I felt that I should bury him before the primaries. “Chukwudi and Nonso (Ifeanyi’s siblings) came to see me here and I told them that the burial will be in two weeks time, that they should come back so that we could plan for it.  “As I am talking, I have seen neither Chukwudi nor Nonso till date. Their sister, who came back from US and called me to say that she is back, as I am talking to you, I have not seen her.  “You start to wonder- what kind of children are these? The press said I have two wives – it is not true. I divorced her (former wife) before I became governor. I have the divorce papers, please don’t refer to me as having two wives. I am a decent man. I have only one wife. Please save me the trouble and embarrassment of talking about matrimonial trouble, the church will not wed me if I have two wives. "The children through her (former wife) cannot be said to have been flesh and blood. I am stopping at that – you know what I mean. A child that is yours will not hurt you like this, these children cannot be my flesh and blood.

“My children love me. It is only children that are not yours that will seize their brother’s dead body. If they can steal the dead body of their brother, it is terrible, unprecedented.” “They suggested the church and when the Bishop approached me, I accepted. The Bishops started preparing for the service, but till date the same people disappeared. If they say a word, I will tell the world what they have done and the entire world will spit at them”. "If you are a father, you put the date for your son’s burial and these riff-raffs put a new date, will you go?”

Philip Hughes dies from a freak accident during cricket game

Naira depreciates to 168 to a dollar

Initially we had  N155 to a dollar but as a result of the dwindling oil price in international market, the Central Bank of Nigeria today announced the devaluation of the Naira, pegging the Dollar to Naira exchange rate at N168 to a dollar
Here is the explanation given to this change, the new exchange rate at the apex bank's Monetary Policy Committee meeting in Abuja, the Central Bank Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele said the devaluation of the Naira against the dollar is to strengthen the Nigerian currency in the face of the falling international oil price. He called on the Federal government and the National Assembly to speed up the process towards the immediate passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, which has been pending passage for the past two years.

This so sad Chaz B popular radio host, relationship coach and anchor of 'Sharing Life Issues' with Chaz B on Rhythm FM has died. He died this morning November 22nd from kidney failure which he'd been battling for a while.

He was in his mid-50s and was married with kids. He was such a nice and dedicated man to his job...I met him in inspiration fm 92.3 and I was guest in one of his shows. He had vision for this nation.....May his soul rest in peace
