Naomi Oni attacker Mary Konye jailed for 12years

The court has favoured  Naomi Oni,her friend who bathed her with acid, Mary Konye was sentenced to 12 years in jail today .She admitted throwing the acid but maintains she did not intend to cause injury to Ms Oni's face.

Ms Oni who did not attend the court hearing suffered permanent scars to her leg, chest, stomach and arms and was almost blinded in one eye.She faces further re-constructive surgery and must wear a silicon face mask which makes it difficult to breathe. Tragic accident killing 19 Redeemed church members

According to report,this happened  on Monday along the Potiskum-Maiduguri highway leaving all the Redeemed church members burnt beyond recognition and 16 others dead

Confirming the accident, the Federal Road Safety Commission spokesman in Yobe State, Mr Yusuf Sani, said the church members were said to be coming back from a church programme in Lagos when the accident happened "All the 19 members of Redeemed Christian Church of God who were traveling in one bus were burnt beyond recognition as the bus caught fire on collision with the other two vehicles which also burst in flames shortly afterwards,” said Yusuf Sani The two other vehicles involved in the accident were conveying people from a wedding. Emma Ehumadu nollywood actor involved in a ghastly accident during a movie scene

The sad incident happened on Wednesday March 12th,in Asaba, Delta ,Actor Emma Ehumadu was involved in a ghastly accident while filming a robbery scene with Jim Iyke and other actors at a movie location in Asaba. Jim was driving the vehicle during a 'high speed chase' while Emma was shooting a gun from a half open door from the vehicle. Unfortunately there was an issue with the brake and the vehicle hit a location bus. Emma hit his head on the door of a bus and his skull opened. He was rushed to the hospital where he is recuperating.

Citizens crushed to death at Nigerian Immigration Recruitment centres Nation wide

Lives lost yesterday around Nigeria. The deaths arose from the stampede ensuing at the different test centres for the National Immigration Service recruitment for 2014. With over 56,000 applicants present before 7 AM and NO provision made for crowd control, the ensuing stampede ended with more than 7 persons dead and many more injured.

According to reports from people who went for the test, they were charged an application fee of 1,000 Naira

According to Channels TV: “Unconfirmed reports say that 7 persons may have died and several others injured following a stampede at the National Stadium, Abuja.“ This Day Newspaper reports: “The employment test for recruitment into the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) conducted across the country Saturday turned deadly as stampede at three centres claimed the lives of 16 applicants and left scores injured.
Eight people were feared dead during a stampede at the National Stadium Abuja, five lives were lost at the Liberation Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt, while three applicants were also feared dead in Minna. However, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed that seven people lost their lives and 40 were injured in the stampede in Abuja.
