Bride gives birth at wedding
“It did rather shake us up,” admitted Jean-Robert Gachet, mayor of Jallais, after hearing that mother and baby were doing well.
Saturday’s ceremony at 11:00 am was nearly called off after the heavily pregnant bride had several false alarms, although her due date was July 14.
The bride was “definitely a bit worn out, but we put that down to the stress of the wedding. I tried to hurry it up a bit so that she didn’t get too tired,” said Gachet.
But only moments after the happy couple said their vows and emerged outside to pose for the traditional photos, while the guests left for the reception, the bride suddenly felt unwell and went back into the townhall.
Emergency services were called, but her waters had already broken and she gave birth to a little boy on the spot at 12:15 pm.
“The cry of the new born boy was an emotional moment! It was a first for us and for the emergency services,” Gachet said.

Agege Motor Road (via Oshodi Interchange) to Moshalasi to Funsho Williams Avenue to Eko Bridge and on.... Apapa Oshodi Express road to Mile 2 and on........ On my way home after church, somewhere along Ajah road,unexpected
traffic held us for over 15mins and I was so curious because on Sundays at that
time there is hardly such, so I step down from my car to find this
Nobody was able to take down the number of the hit and run vehicle plate license,I asked eventually everybody at the scene,even if it was the photo of the car,so that these callous and heartless drivers who run away from their irresponsible acts are disgraced and punished.
Eyewitnesses said a jeep on a high speed brushed the kekemaruwa(Keke Napep)leaving these two injured the other passengers were dizzy,thankfully,some Good Samaritans came to their aid.

Serena Williams now -A high-powered attorney
The tennis ace will be guest-starring on the comedy show ‘Drop Dead Diva’ in an episode which will air on Sunday.
The lawn tennis star plays a high-powered attorney in the show and will appear alongside Brandy Norwood, who has a recurring role in the series.
The plot will see Serena’s character help Brandy to fight a court case against her ex-boyfriend. Brandy plays Elisa Shayne and has an on-going role throughout the current fourth season of the show.
Brandy’s character Elisa Shayne is a woman who becomes involved in a custody battle when her ex-boyfriend discovers they have a child together. Serena is following in Brandy’s footsteps with a role on the show, although it is unknown how many episodes she will appear in. Brandy and Serena aren’t the only stars to grace the fourth season of the hit Lifetime show.
Kim Kardashian recently appeared on ‘Drop Dead Diva’ in a three episode arc. She played a juice bar waitress turned relationship guru by the name of Nikki.

An Angry man sets a market on standstill
This happened on Thursday afternoon, right in my presence, as you can see, the man wearing white shirt complaining to the police is very upset because a woman in the blue car called him a drug pusher.
This was what happened; the man was trying to park his car and there was another car blocking him, out of impatience and annoyance the woman right behind him flared up and started pouring abuses on him….”all you drug pushers who come to this market pretending to have legitimate jobs, all you do is fool around and litter yourselves around here.”

That was how the man lost his cool, stepped out of his car and told woman she was not going anywhere until they get to the police station to prove to everyone that he is a drug pusher…meanwhile, he has also responded her abuses saying that ‘the woman is a prostitute and she just came from the village….she’s mad,sleeping around to manage to get this 2nd hand car..blah!blah!’ she will be jailed for deformation of character.
My point is these are grown adults probably married with grown up kids …educated with a degree, was this display worth the while?
Couldn’t he have ignored her instead of making a scene and in the end causing unnecessary traffic.
Anyways…later that day I learnt the case was settled without anybody going to jail

Don Jazzy said “I do not want this to be perceived as a public relations stunt. I prefer to do my things in a quiet manner. I have sent money before but because this was on timeline it got public. It just so happened that some of them requested for money. It was on the spur of the moment and not planned at all. Many others have asked for advice, record deals and many different things, I just try and do the little I can.”
