Azazi blames Boko Haram attacks on PDP

But this is not surprising to most Nigerians or is it?

The National Security Adviser, Andrew Owoye Azazi has blamed the rise of insurgence by the fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram in the country on the internal wranglings of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties.
The retired General made this known during the second day of the South-south economic summit where the collapse of the nation’s security challenge was deliberated on.

Tracing the rise of Boko Haram’s attack, the chief security adviser to the president stated that “the extent of violence did not increase in Nigeria until when there was a declaration by the current president that he was going to contest.”
“PDP got it wrong from the beginning, from the on-set by saying Mr A can rule, Mr A cannot rule ……according to PDP’s convention, rules and regulation and not according to the constitution and that created the climate for what has manifest itself, this way.”

Kidnapped Access Bank manager released after the payment of N25M

Is there a way out to trap these kidnappers before such ransom are given to them? Its really awful to keep reading or hearing that so and so has just been kidnapped and they are demanding for huge ransom.

Good news, it’s good to know that Mr. Yemi Odunsanya, the regional general manager of Access Bank who was reportedly kidnapped in the city of Lagos while on his way to Church on Sunday, has been released by his abductors.
According to reports, the freed kidnap victim was discovered in the early hours of Thursday, found wandering at the front gate of the Victoria Garden city in Ajah, the outskirt of Lagos.
Odunsanya is said to be in stable health. He was released after a payment of N25 million was made by his relatives and business associates.
It was not clear how the funds were paid to the abductors. The family had been warned not to contact the police, but said they did some investigation of their own.
According to the source, “when he was kidnapped on Sunday on his way to the church, we were actively involved, tracking their telephone conversations and all that. It was through this means that we were able to confirm that he was still kept within the Lekki/Aja axis.
“But when his life was being threatened, we were begged to allow them deal directly with the kidnappers. So this morning we were told that he has been released after the payment of N25m ransom”.

Olaniyi Jones Makinde wanted in US for $3.2M Payroll Fraud

Any crime committed abroad especially in U.S.A and Europe there must be reward….which is, the law will make sure you pay for it big time, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, you will surely pay for it  this is a classic example

According to the FBI report, 26 year old Olaniyi Jones Makinde is a wanted man in the USA for being part of a 7-man criminal gang that stole $3.2 million from payroll companies and banks between 2009 and 2010, by using fake websites to trick people into giving up their online usernames and passwords. The other six are: Karlis Karklins, Charles Chidi, Waya Nwaki, Osarhieme Obaygbona, Marvin Dion Hill and Alphonsus Osuala

When the activities of his gang was discovered by FBI in 2010, Olaniyi escaped the US and returned to Nigeria. Unfortunately for him, the US police informed the EFCC about his activities in the US and his wanted status there. The EFCC tracked him down in Nigeria and arrested him.

He's been in Ikoyi prisons since January 2012 where he will be until May 30th where a Federal High Court will hear the extradition request filed by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation against him.

Aside from stealing from companies and banks, Olaniyi also stole from individuals by assuming the false identity of a sexy white chick named Brenda Stuart, and tricking men into sending money and their account details to him.

I'm sure most of us will agree that the law ,make the citizens abroad think twice before they commit any illegal action.

Don Jazzy wants this issue b/w him and D’banj to be a natural death in the media.

Here is what he said Really, if I start responding to every single accusation, then the ‘lazy’ person I’ve been called would come out, and the ‘Fake’ person I am according to critics would obviously come out since I’m not a talkative and you the media know that, I want the handwork of my music productions and the proceeds of good music at Mo’hits to speak for itself, so asking me to comment on issues like this, I really am not just interested, personally my advice to fans is to concentrate on good music from Mo’hits and huhh….well even from Dbanj himself, music is what we were made to create and not controversies”

Do you think that is ever going to happen? considering the fact that they are both still in the public eye?

Lawmaker ask petroleum Minister to quit

Does that mean that the next person that will be appointed will ensure that there will be no fraud in the petroleum sector under the the person’s watch? Let me rephrase the question will there be credibility, accountability? If that is the case I think all Nigerians will agree. If history is going to repeat itself what then is the way forward in this sector……this issue is a sensitive one ,any decision made can either break or make the nation.

A member of the House of Representatives, Robinson Uwak (PDP, Akwa Ibom State), has urged the Minister of Petroleum resources, Mrs Deizana Alison-Madueke, to resign.
Speaking in Abuja, the lawmaker said considering the fraud that occurred in the petroleum sector under her watch, as revealed by the recent house probe of the fuel subsidy, the honourable thing for her to do, would be to resign.
He said he was not accusing the minister of corruption.
The House had resumed consideration of the fuel subsidy probe report on Wednesday, when Mr. Robinson Uwak, raised a point of order on privilege.
He drew the attention of the House to public opinion suggesting that lawmakers were ‘shielding’ Alison-Madueke from prosecution.
Uwak said, “the people of my constituency and Nigerians out there have been bombarding me with calls since yesterday (Tuesday).
“They have accused the House of shielding the minister. I hereby call for the resignation of the Minister of Petroleum Resources.”

Her conviction brings the total of sentences handed down to 124 years.
Three other teenagers – Samson Odegbune and Christopher Omoregie, both 18, along with Obi Nwokeh, 19 – were convicted of murder during a series of trials last year and jailed for 18 years each last week.

Judge Christopher Moss QC told Victoria: “You played a pivotal role in the events leading up to that day and must take a substantial share of the responsibility for that.” However, Sofyen’s family expressed their disappointment at Victoria’s sentence.

His mother, Naina Ghailan, reacted angrily to the sentence. She said: “I’m disgusted. She’s got 12 years and she’ll only serve half. She’s an adult and she should have got life. She planned the whole thing.”
