D’banj changes his name again

Do you remember this http://xpressurselfshow.blogspot.com/2012/04/dbanj-changes-his-name-from-dapo.html ? is D' Banj truly losing his fans?

What do you make of this statement from D'banj's spokeswoman,Vanessa Amadi?
Over the past few weeks Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka D'Banj has experienced a series of vicious hacks on several of his social networking sites including his Facebook page and more recently, his Twitter of which his account name was wrongfully changed.
Unfortunately the hackers managed to carry out a number of hurtful, damaging activities directly aimed to deceive D'Banj's fans with false information.

With the help of the security teams at both Twitter and Facebook, we have managed to regain full control of the said sites which are currently being operated personally by D'Banj.

Fans can continue to interact with D'Banj at his official Twitter handle @IamDbanj and his official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DBanj. Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo is known and celebrated worldwide for his originality and distinctive sound and is committed to staying true to that foundation.

D'Banj apologies for any inconvenience caused by the hacking and thanks his beloved fans for their continued support.

D’Banj changes his name from Dapo Oyebanjo to Daniel Banjo

The ‘talk’ right now is that D’Banj is being Americanized……what do you guys think?, personally, I think this was expected, but does it really matter?

What do you make of this letter to D’banj from one of his fans?

 Dear D’Banj,

I love your work, I really do, I think you’re one of the greatest musicians of your generation, but I must say, your new affiliation with G.O.O.D music seems to be getting to your head.

For years you’ve been known by your official name, Dapo Oyebanjo, even using it as part of your twitter handle. Well all good things come to an end, and your affiliation with your new label seems to have brought that particular chapter of your life to an untimely conclusion.

D’Banj you’ve now gone from ‘Dapo Oyebanjo’ to ‘Daniel Banjo’. All I can do is laugh, I mean, Daniel ‘Banjo‘ ? What are you, a country music star from Nashville? I mean, I get it, Daniel provides the ‘D’ and Banjo provides the ‘Banj’, but negro please, you’re hustlin’ backwards.

Why abandon the successful person you are to become a less successful version of what you’re not? You’re a Nigerian, not an American, and no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be one, so be yourself and have faith. Plus, truth be told, based on a fan base, you’re the BIGGEST artist in the entire G.O.O.D music family other than Ye’ himself.

You don’t need to become an Americanized version of yourself to fit in, not to knock their hustle, but I promise you, John Legend, Pusha T, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Common and your other label mates wish they had as many rabid long-time fans as you do, they Don’t. You’ve accomplished something most of them will never get to do, they should be insecure around you, not vice versa.

Either way, Dapo Daniel I’m sure you still have people who can advice you. I’d suggest they step up and tell you to accept who you are and not try to be something you’re not. Truth be told, your music is what people are interested in, not the un-africanization / westernization of your name, heck, just go study the life of Tupac Amaru Shakur to see how having an ethnic name is immaterial to one’s success. Or go further back and study the work of one of your mentors, the late, great Fela Anikulapo-Kuti who actually went from his westernized “Ransome-Kuti” to the very Nigerianized ”Anikulapo”.

Till today his name still rings out in all corners of the world, heck he was even immortalized with a show on Broadway. Anyway, all I’m trying to say is people love those who keep it 100, please get back to that. I’ve spoken my piece.

 Deuces.

Meet the couple aged 13years and 10years (Elena Chiritescu,Gheorghe Mecic, who had a baby)

What would you do if you were told your friend/cousin,child was pregnant at the age of 9years and the father to the baby is a relation to the girl he impregnated? crazy right right? well it did happen to this couple
Elena Chiritescu, the ten-year-old gipsy girl who became one of the world’s youngest mother when she gave birth naturally to 6lb 6oz baby Nicoleta.(baby girl)
The picture was taken when she was three months pregnant. At her side is her 13-year-old cousin Gheorghe Mecic, the baby’s father. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the pair are no longer a couple.

The feckless parents and can exclusively reveal details of their doomed relationship, including how after she became pregnant aged nine, their mothers allowed them to live as ‘husband and wife’.

Elena and Gheorghe were raised as siblings by their grandmother in the Romanian capital of Bucharest after their mothers fled abroad to escape the grinding poverty. Despite looking older than her years, officials have confirmed Elena was born in April 2000.
The hospital where the baby was born. The baby was almost 3Kg, for a nine year old?.........amazing!

KADUNA (AFP) - A car bomb attack outside a church in Kaduna on Easter Sunday left at least 20 dead and scores wounded, a rescue source said. The explosion, a stark reminder of Christmas Day attacks that left dozens dead in the country, occurred where motorcycle taxi drivers and passersby caught much of the blast. At least one car said to be driven by a suicide bomber was involved in the attack, though a rescue official speaking on condition of anonymity said two vehicles packed with explosives detonated. “Now we have 20 dead from the twin explosions,” the rescue official, who was not authorised to speak publicly, told AFP.

Officials were still counting the number of wounded, he added. “Bombs concealed in two cars went off just opposite this church,” he said. A police officer at the scene said a man believed to be a suicide bomber driving a car was stopped at a checkpoint near the church and turned back, but drove to a nearby area close to a hotel and detonated the bomb. Other cars in the area were damaged, but it was unclear if they were also carrying explosives, he said. A spokesman for the national emergency management agency said most of the victims appeared to be motorcyle taxi drivers who were in the area at the time. Police confirmed the explosion was a bomb, but did not officially comment further.

“We have a bomb explosion. We are trying to sort things out,” police spokesman Aminu Lawal told AFP. Residents reported seeing dead and injured being taken away. An AFP correspondent said he saw 10 bodies, while one resident said he counted at least 10 wounded. Another resident said that “from my balcony, I could see policemen loading the dead and the injured into waiting vans.” One resident said the explosion was strong enough to shake his house and cause his ceiling to cave in. He ran to the site, which had already been cordoned off, but he said he could see damage to the Assemblies of God Church and cars.

Authorities as well as foreign embassies had warned of the possibility of an attack on Easter Sunday.
