Sean Paul officially married his long time girlfriend 5mths after proposing to her


Sean Paul is officially off the market after tying the knot with long-term girlfriend Jodi Stewart since 2002. His real name Sean Paul Henriques, reportedly popped the question at a New Year's Eve party in 2011.

 
Sometime in May this year,the two exchanged vows in front of close family and friends at the small and intimate ceremony, and their honeymoon in French Polynesia.

To those who are not familiar with Jodi Stewart, she is well-known TV presenter in Jamaica.

A Judge in Florida revoked George Zimmerman's bond on June 1st after he and his wife lied about how much donation money was collected from his website.

Deputy leader of Yobe state House of Assemble gunned down

Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday killed the Deputy Leader of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Degubi.
The Public Relations Officer of the Yobe State Police Command, Mr. Adamu Salihu, confirmed the killing of the legislator.






 “We have not ascertained those behind the killing and their motive.


“Investigation is going on to establish those who killed him and why he was killed,” Salihu said. The late legislator was elected into the state’s assembly in 2011, to represent Nangere Constituency. He was elected Deputy House Leader last month, following a minor reshuffle in the assembly.

Meanwhile, the Director of the State Security Service in Gombe State, Mr. Bitrus Asher, announced on Tuesday that unknown gunmen had killed a retired officer of the SSS, Malam Aliyu Abubakar in Gombe. Asher told the News Agency of Nigeria that Abubakar was shot by the gunmen in Yulunguruza Quarters in Gombe at about 6.30p.m on Monday while he was performing ablution in his friend’s house.

The director said the deceased was shot in the back and was immediately taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe, where he died. Asher said the deceased was buried on Tuesday and that security operatives in the state were investigating the matter. He said that no arrest had been made on the incident.




Mother starves her 16yr old daughter for four months



 Rosetta Harris, an unemployed single mother of five, Rosetta Harris, pleaded guilty to endangering the life of a child - Darlene Armstrong 16yrs,who could not walk or talk and measured just 3'10'' when she was taken to a Chicago hospital in March.

Rosetta Harris told the Chicago Tribune earlier this year that she ‘was a good mother’ and said her daughter was ‘well cared for.’

Sporadic shooting kills 27 villagers in Zamfara

An eye witness, Lawalli Dangulbi, who spoke to journalist at Gusau Specialist Hospital, stated there was pandemonium in the village when the attackers struck, shooting sporadically.

Twenty-seven persons, including one policeman were killed by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday in Dangulbi Village, in the Dansadau Emirate of Zamfara state, northwest,Nigeria Some dead bodies were discovered in neighbouring villages of Biya, Guru and Sabuwar Kasuwa.




SEC sends Oteh on compulsory leave


The Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has directed the Director-General of the Commission, Arunma Oteh to proceed on compulsory leave, to enable them probe allegations of financial 


The Board also appointed Daisy Ekineh, an Executive Commissioner of SEC, to act as Director-General.
SEC, Tuesday morning, confirmed the removal of Oteh, but its spokespersons refused to give further comment, promising to comment extensively on the matter later in the day.
