Fayose warns Fulani herdsmen after residents flee during the invasion of Ekiti state

Fayose warns Fulani herdsmen after residents flee during the invasion of Ekiti state
Two killed during the assailants suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Friday evening invaded Oke Ako

in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State killing two people and injuring three.

The assailants, numbering about 20, stormed the sleeping town around 8 p.m and unleashed terror on the residents. The attack came barely two weeks after Governor Ayo Fayose declared war on Fulani herdsmen, declaring Ekiti a “no-go area” for them. Fayose had during his monthly media chat tagged: “Meet Your Governor” charged the people of the state to lace the rivers with “Gammalin Twenty” to poison the cattle of the Fulani herdsmen. Read the press statement below... Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has warned that there could be reprisal attacks on Fulani herdsmen in the State if they do not desist from invading communities in Ekiti and attacking the people, describing the Fulani herdsmen that invaded Oke Ako in Ikole local government area of the State on Friday, killing two residents of the town and injuring others as “agents of the devil that must be fished out and punished accordingly.”

Governor Fayose, who commiserated with the people of Oke-Ako, especially the family of the deceased, vowed to do everything humanly possible to forestall the reoccurrence of such attack and safeguard the lives of Ekiti people. According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said the Fulani herdsmen were becoming major threat to the unity of Nigeria and its people, saying; “I will not fold my hands while armed herdsmen invade communities in Ekiti, killing people and destroying farmlands at will as they have done in other States. “I have directed the police and other security agencies in the State to fish out the killer herdsmen. I am in constant touch with the security agencies and I hope that the killer herdsmen will be fished out wherever they are and made to face the full wrath of the law. “The people of Oke-Ako should therefore remain calm while the security agents do their job. However, the security agents must be mindful of the fact that the people’s patience has a limit and they must therefore act promptly and decisively.”

The governor, who described activities of the Fulani Herdsmen as inimical to the revival of agriculture in the country said; “Farmlands costing billions of naira have been destroyed in States in the South-West, South-East and North-Central zones of the country. One wonders how Nigerians can go back to farming when those already in the farms are losing billions of naira worth of crops to destruction of their farmlands by the Fulani Herdsmen and the Federal Government is not doing anything about it.” He said; “I am sounding a note of warning to the Fulani herdsmen and those who can talk to them should also do so now. If they continue with these wanton attacks, killing of the people and destruction of farmlands in Ekiti, I cannot guarantee that there won’t be reprisal attacks. “I can also not guarantee the level that the reprisal attacks can get to because as a governor, it is my responsibility to defend and protect my people.”

He called on President Mohammadu Buhari to stop paying lips service to the Fulani herdsmen's menace, saying "as patron of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), President Buhari has the capacity to call the herdsmen to order. “President Buhari should therefore call his people to order because this is Ekiti; our people have the rights to defend themselves. “Most importantly, President Buhari must be reminded of how he was so concerned about the killing of Fulani herdsmen in in Saki, Oke Ogun Area of Oyo State such that he, as a private citizen led Arewa to Ibadan on October 13, 2000, to confront the then Governor of Oyo State, late Alhaji Lam Adesina.”

I only slept with this lady once & she claims I have impregnated her- Burna boy

Damilola Ogulu a.k.a Burna boy on his Instagram page … lip synced to a song in the background with the lyrics that he slept with the girl once but now she was claiming to be pregnant.

Here is what Buna boy’s mother said about the claim Uju Stella said to the media of her carrying her son’s child, she thinks Uju have looked for Burna's family to report to rather than take the news to bloggers. She said, “My son has never said anything concerning the issue, he has never said a word, maybe there was a song at the background of the video that he posted online but he has never said a word concerning the issue. What you know is what we know basically and my take on it is that we would rather just focus on his music which primarily affects his life than that.
In Africa, it is not a criminal offence for someone to be pregnant for somebody. If somebody says that she is pregnant for somebody and the person refuses to accept it, you look for his family instead of tagging a blogger. We have nothing to say to her. We don’t know anything about any child. She can never come to me, she has already gone to the blogger; she can never come to me.” To buttress her point, she said that Burna Boy just released a new video during the week and it is enjoying massive airplay. She added that the Nigerian music industry is one in which ladies always accuse young men of being responsible for their pregnancies. “It is not new; these girls come up from time to time with different claims. My position on this is ‘no comment’. Anybody can claim anything that they want to claim.

We have absolutely nothing to say, Burna Boy is a musician and we want to focus on his music. Nobody has time for her. We saw all the reports online but we just chose to look the other way. In this industry, girls are always coming up with pregnancy claims, we see it every day. We are not bothered and we have no comment. We just recently premiered a new video during the week and it is enjoying massive airplay. We are focusing on the music and nothing else.”

According to the girl's mother - Sthabile Mkhwanazi 'lost' her father when she was still a baby and had to be raised by her mother only. The mother described Mr Mkwanazi (the sugar daddy) as a heartless, irresponsible man and coward who caused the untimely death of their own daughter. The mother revealed that Sthabile never got to know her biological dad because he had deserted his family donkey years back. The two only got to meet last Friday at a local club but they were not aware that they were the same blood. After hooking up inside the club, they agreed to head over to the Mkwanazi's house for sex.

The following morning, while they were leaving the house, the girl’s mother coincidentally bumped into them and identified her runaway ex husband. She told her daughter that the man she was standing with is her father. The girl was completely inconsolable after learning that she had just committed incest with her own father. She reportedly failed to stomach the disturbing news and was so devastated she decided to take her own life. This is not the first time their town will witness such atrocity.

In 2011, The Sowetan reported that a couple in South Africa who had been together for five years had a child and discovered that they are brother and sister just before their wedding. They were raised separately and met as adults in college.

Billionaire Mikhail Fridman, worth $13.3 billion ,he wants his children to create something on their own. "I'm not a big fan of such public statements, but I can say that I am going to transfer all my money to charity. The tycoon added that the same decision was made by his business partners. Fridman has four children. The youngest is 10 years old, the eldest is 22. In 2016, Forbes Russia estimated Fridman’s wealth at $13.3 billion; he is ranked second among the richest Russians.

He is the principal owner of Alfa Group, which includes Russia’s largest private commercial bank Alfa Bank, X5 Retail Group that has a chain of supermarkets in Russia, A1 TV Channel and the LetterOne investment holding.
