There is no room for divorce- First lady of Edo state- Iara Oshiomole

Its been rumoured that Gov. Oshiomole’s marriage is at the verge of packing up…from what the Iara’s spokespersons is saying in a nutshell there is no room for such …
Iara's spokesperson described the report "as warped imagination of the purveyors of lies" insisting that Iara had no reason to leave her husband as their marriage is strong.
The press statement which was issued by Executive Director, Media and Public Affairs, Governor’s Office, John Mayaki, states that the Edo First Lady has been busy holding meetings & brainstorming on how to better the lots of the less-privileged Women and Children in the state through her pet project.

"The rumour mongers are well advised to find more productive engagements to deploy their energies rather than market inanities about public personalities all in their bid to sell their medium. Which Court of Law was the alleged divorce initiated and to whom was it served? Which country, state, municipal or county, if any, is the Court situated? And when was the action/suit filed? Of course the writers didn’t bother to inform their readers. The truth however is that the answers only exist in the warped imagination of the purveyors of the lies"

You are deceitful/fraudulent, woman beater Godwin Ekenulo- family of Ukachi Amaechi

The family of late Ukachi responds to Godwin

This cannot be of a child from a poor home. For avoidance of doubt, Ukachi’s dad, Godwin Amaechi is a chartered accountant who retired as GM, Finance Northern Breweries and the Traditional Prime Minister of Obinze Autonomous community. In addition John Amaechi - the father of ex NBA player John Amaechi was a Governorship aspirant under SDP in Imo State, so politics is common with the Amaechis and poverty does not have a place in us.

She met her ex husband after she won Miss Unijos in her first year in school. This marriage barely lasted for 7 years due to deceitful/fraudulent, woman beater life of Godwin Ekenulo that goes about telling people he is from a wealthy home- that his father owns majority of shops in Alaba but cannot pay his immediate bills even up till date. Their last child (deceased) should be over 14years if alive - However Ukachi joined active politics less than 10years ago, so do your calculation that their 2 last kids died of HIV as a result of meeting a politician who infected her. When did Ukachi meet this Hope that infected her, was it in Jos or Lagos where they had their four kids (one of the child in question died in Jos when she was in school).

As the marriage could no longer hold, Ukachi returned back to Amaechi compound where she joined politics in 2007, contested and won election for Imo House of Assembly as Ukachi AMAECHI representing Owerri West LGA. Any Igbo person will know that Ukachi will never be allowed to contest for election in Owerri West if she is married to a man from Amaigbo another LGA that those not even have boundaries with Owerri West LGA, as she will be asked to go to the husband's place to represent them rather than her father’s home. Ukachi got divorced from a court of competent jurisdiction over 9years and moved on with her life.

This same Godwin Ekenulo was allowed to live in Amaechi's compound in a bid to see if their marriage can be mended as we do not believe in divorce but his nuisance value - beating Ukachi before the parents and the Amaechis was barred from entering the family hence his resolve to stock and embarrass Ukachi before her colleagues in the Imo House of Assembly between 2007-2011 up until the divorce was formalized. This Godwin i understand is married with a child so why this blasphemy, Ukachi should not be used to score politically point against his opponent if there is any. Ukachi came, lived and should be allowed to REST IN PEACE to face any consequence with her maker.

Alternative Routes this Saturday in Lagos

Hi guys just thought I chip this in this morning in case you haven’t heard….

The Lagos State Government on Wednesday announced restriction of movement in some of the major highways to be used for the February 6, 2016 International Marathon scheduled to start by 7am at National Stadium Surulere and terminate at Eko Atlantic City.

The Lagos International Marathon, which was last held in 1983, is billed to be attended by over 20,000 athletes, including over 20 world class marathoners.

Speaking during a press conference at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Transportation, Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi disclosed that the Marathon will start from the National Stadium and move to Anthony, and thereafter to Gbagada Road, Third Mainland Bride through Alfred Rewane to Lekki Ikoyi Bridge and terminate at Eko Atlantic City.

Elegushi, who explained that the Marathon will commence at 7am, said the restriction of traffic will however start from 6:30am and end at 1pm, adding that adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure that security operatives and officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) barricade access to the dual carriage way to be affected by the event.

According to him, all traffic flow and access from Alaka and Alhaji Masha to National Stadium towards Ojuelegba and along Western Avenue terminating at Anthony Bus stop would be blocked, while the whole stretch of the Anthony Oke to Gbagada unto Third mainland Bride along with accesses at New Garage, Adeniji Adele interchange; Sura/Simpson and Obalende would equally be blocked. He added that all access from Dolphin Estate towards Osborne terminating at Falomo Road About would be blocked for the event, while access to Falomo Roundabout from Alfred Rewane (Kingsway Road), Awolowo Road and traffic from Victoria Island would also be affected.

According to Elegushi, other areas to be affected include all access/link roads along Bourdillon up to Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge Roundabout and the Link Bridge, while there would also be blockade of traffic on Admiralty Way from the bridge outlet inward Lekki-Epe Expressway inward Ozumba Mbadiwe to Akin Adesola, Bishop Oluwole and Bar Beach (Atlantic City). He, however, call on all Lagosians “to see the event not only as a sporting event but for its tourism content. As a people who are naturally friendly, we should put on display, our positive attitude to visitors,” Elegushi counseled. He said governor would not hesitate to lift the restriction if and when it is perceived as necessary to bring about free flow of traffic.

While regretting any inconveniences that the residents might suffer as a result of the restriction, Elegushi said the security operatives and LASTMA officials have been stationed to ensure free flow of traffic in all the other alternative routes which the people could make use of during the event. On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of LASTMA, Christ Olakpe assured residents of the preparedness of his men to ensure a hitch-free tournament. Olakpe, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, added that instructions have been given to his men to be civil in dealing with residents.
