You are not fit to lead the AGN,you an ex convict& a liar- Chukwurah lashes at Ibinabo

The battle between Ibinabo and Clarion Chukwurah has been on for weeks now as at last week, Ibinabo Fiberisima fired back at Clarion for accusing her of collecting a political appointment and more..She said Clarion was being hysterical and picking cheap points in her attempt to destabilize the AGN..Not one to back down,Clarion has fired back in a interview with Punch..She calls her an ex convict and a lair about her age

“I am not on the same level with Ibinabo Fibresima professionally, educationally or in any other form. I find that she is deliberately misleading the public and wanting to push the issues at stake under the table with her so-called open letter. I will not allow her to do that.Item ‘U’ of the electoral guideline of AGN disqualified her. No convicted person can stand for election in any post. She was convicted for manslaughter and she was given a jail sentence which she served. There is a court injunction stopping Ibinabo from parading herself as the AGN president. This is the copy of the judgment. I have it. Manslaughter has no option of fine. Her sentence was reduced from seven years to five years and we all know she went to jail. The judgment reads in part, ‘there is proof that she drove recklessly and caused the death of Dr. Sura Giwa contrary to the road traffic laws of Lagos State.’ She was drunk. How could this person be the face of AGN?”

The court injunction of 2011 and 2013 was forwarded to the presidency. The criminal conviction of manslaughter was sent to the presidency. The president is supposed to be a symbol of the supremacy of the rule of law. He disregarded the law in recognising Ibinabo as president of AGN. The president is now saying there is no law in this country. So the AGN has become an ethnic grouping. This is a professional body of actors. It is not a Niger Delta solidarity platform.

Some actors have even explained to me why they followed her. They said they were taken there on a fraudulent arrangement for her to use and get what she wanted. Would she really have approached me for a thing like that?”I have the data of every government house she has been to. No single chapter has seen a dime for running the guild. She went to Ondo State and she was given N500, 000. What chapter did she inaugurate in Ondo State? The guild wasn’t set up to go begging from one state government to another.”

Very sad indeed: a pregnant woman to be killed for marrying a Christian

According to AFP a Sudanese pregnant woman of 27 year old Sudanese Mariam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag was sentenced to death by hanging by a Sudanese court for apostasy, (that is, renouncing ones faith or religion) after marrying a Christian man

Mariam, whose father is Muslim but raised orthodox Christian by her mother, was earlier sentenced to death by hanging on Sunday May 11th but was given till today May 15th to have a rethink and convert back to Islam before the verdict would be enforced. However during a court appearance today, Mariam maintained that she's a Christian and there's no going back. 

"We gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to Islam. I sentence you to be hanged to death." Judge Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa told the woman in court today,

Khalifa also sentenced Ishag to 100 lashes for "adultery".

“I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy,” she said in court.

Defending the judgement of the Sudanese judge, Ahmed Bilal Osman, Sudan's information Minister, said such judgement is not only delivered in Sudan but also in other Islamic countries

"It's not only Sudan. In Saudi Arabia, in all the Muslim countries, it is not allowed at all for a Muslim to change his/her religion." he told AFP

Meanwhile, Standard Hotel in New York City said  it had identified and fired the person who leaked famed Jay Z /Solange elevator  tape to TMZ for a sum of  $250,000. According to Abc news,In a statement the hotel said that the person had been terminated for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."
