Temporary replacement of the four sacked ministers

Yesterday, president Jonathan sacked Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, Godsday Orubebe , Minister of Niger Delta; Caleb Olubolade, the minister of Police Affairs, and Yerima Ngama, Minister of State, Finance.

That same day,Minister of Information,Mr Labaran Maku announced the temporary ministers, Ms. Stella Oduah, Minister of Aviation replaced by Minister of State for Trade and Investments, Mr Samuel Ortom.
Godsday Orubebe, Minister of Niger Delta Affair replaced by Mr Darius Isiaku
Caleb Olubolade, Minister of Police Affairs replaced by The Minister of State for the FCT, Missus Olajumoke Akinjide.

According report Ms Oduah will focus on her Neighbour to Neighbour political campaign organization which she founded a few years ago. Also heard the other ministers were dropped for political reasons. All three of them are planning to run for governorship positions in their various states. Orubebe is running in Delta, Yerima in Yobe and Olubolade in Ekiti State, all under PDP.

News agencies in Algeria-103 people in a plane crash today

According to reports coming from news agencies in Algeria, the Air Algerie plane, a Boeing 737, which is the country's national airline, crashed after one of its engines caught fire as it took off in the remote city of Tamanrasset in the Sahara Desert, killing 103 people.

A spokesman for the airline told AFP that "There was a mechanical problem on take-off"
