Nelson Mandela's Will
This how the Will of the late Nelson
Mandela was read
Nelson Mandela's ex-wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has been
left out of his will, it has been revealed.
The former South African president has divided up his
£2.5million estate between family members, staff and the ruling African
National Congress.
However, he has chosen to give nothing to Ms
Madikizela-Mandela - his second wife, with whom he had two daughters, Zenani
and Zindziswa. Meanwhile, his third wife, Graca Machel, has been named as the
main beneficiary of the will because their marriage was 'in community of
property', according to executor, Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke.
She is therefore entitled to 50 per cent of his estate,
which has been provisionally valued at 46 million rand (£2.5million), excluding
royalties. But it is believed to have been accepted by his family with no
contest so far.
As the main beneficiary, Ms Machel must claim her half of
the estate within 90 days, said Moseneke, who was joined by executors George
Bizos, a human rights lawyer who was a longtime friend of Mandela, and Themba
Sangoni, a chief judge from the Eastern Cape province.
He added that although Madikizela-Mandela was not mentioned
in the will, her grandchildren will each receive $9,000 (£5,500).
Full details of the will
-Wife Graca Machel, who is entitled to 50 percent of his estate, worth at least $4.1 million. She is likely to waive that right in favour of receiving four properties in Mozambique, cars, art work, jewellery and other assets.
-Mandela's children each get around $300,000, or if they borrowed that amount from him during his lifetime, have their debts annulled. -Ms Machel's children, Josina Machel and Malengane Machel, each get around $270,000. -Mandela's four grandchildren via late son Makgatho will each receive $300,000 and will have the use of his home in Houghton, Johannesburg.
-The African National Congress (ANC), gets between 10 to 30 percent of royalties from his various projects.
-Mandela's home in his boyhood village of Qunu will be made available to the Mandela family, as well as widow Ms Machel and her two children.
=Grandchildren from his first marriage to Evelyn Mase and second marriage to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela each get $9,000. It was not immediately clear if anything had been bequeathed to Winnie.
-Staff members, including long time personal assistance Zelda la Grange, get $4,500 each.

Somewhere in Imo state where snakes are worshipped as gods
This
was culled from sun- An example of such communities where residents still
regard python as one of their gods is Mgbidi, the headquarters of Oru West
local government area of Imo State. Mgbidi is made up of eleven communities
including Imeoha, Eziali, Umuekwe, Okwudor , Umuorji, Umuokpara, Umuehi ,
Umuabiahu, Uziaumu , Ihitte and Ugbele.
In a chat with one of the priests who identified himself as Ngozi Obiwuru, he boasted that no amount of civilization can change that part of their culture; worshipping of python. “Several churches have come to deliver this community but have failed to stop the worship of snakes. I used to be a Christian before my father whom I inherited this job from died. I had to relocate to the village and learn the traditions of our people.
“If you mistakenly kill a snake, you will simply appease the gods or face the consequences. There was a particular case, the man called all kinds of pastors to pray for his family, at the end of the day he came to me and performed the sacrifice. It dawned on him that it was not a joke when his three kids died mysteriously
“Several churches have been advised to stay away from that part of our religion. We welcome the fact that they have brought a lot of development in our area, but the fact remains that no one can force us to abandon what we believe in.” To appease the gods, Obiwuru said: “It is very simple. The individual will buy a white coffin, white cock, goat and will come to the shrine for sacrifice.
The coffin will be used to bury the snake. These snakes do not bite anyone; it is a sign of blessing if it chooses to visit your family at night. It is an honour to have a god in your home, just as the Christians rejoice when they spot an angel in their homes. “One of my close relatives tried it. He came back from the city, and told me that he has just finished seven days fasting. To try the potency of his prayers, he said would kill as many pythons as he could lay his hands on.
He actually went to the bush to find one. Today, my brother is dead and buried and no one can explain what happened to him.” Just as he claimed that python is a sacred animal, Obiwuru also warned visitors to steer clear of Obana River. “It is a taboo for an indigene or visitor to kill a fish in the river. If a visitor unknowingly takes it away, he or she will not be affected.

Omotola and Genevieve jobless?
According to Obi Emelonye who told TheNollywoodReporter.com
about two of Nollywood's biggest stars and why their high acting fees have made
them jobless..
In case you don’t know who Obi Emelonye is, he is The producer of two of Nigeria's
biggest movies... Last flight to Abuja ( starring omotola) and mirror
boy(Starring Genevieve)
His exact words during the interview
“Genevieve and
Omotola are the two biggest actresses we have in Nollywood, they cannot afford
to charge less than their status and that is where the problem comes in. Their
charges are probably above what the industry can afford. Their charges are like
half of the entire production budget so which producer can afford that?”
What they can do
now as it is with other big stars all over the world, is that they should begin
to fund their own productions and act in them, they can act whatever role will
enhance their brand, they need to start a production company now, and push
themselves because they need to remain relevant and must not be seen as
jobless. If corporate bodies perceive them as jobless they won’t want to do
business with them, they might even price them cheap.”
