Naomi Oni’s face was distorted with acid by own her friend

You guys remember Naomi Oni who was attacked with acid in London……shocking but true,.it was her friend who distorted her face ,an arrest was made to her friend Mary Konye who was jealous of her good looks
Mary Konye, 21, disguised herself in an Islamic veil showing only her eyes, and followed Naomi Oni home in East London before allegedly dousing her in the corrosive acid.
Ms Oni, 21, who worked at Victoria’s Secret lingerie shop, suffered horrific burns on her face and chest, lost her hair and eyelashes and was left scarred for life in the alleged attack on December 30 2012.Snaresbrook Crown Court heard that Konye, who was studying business and finance at Hertfordshire University, had been close friends with Ms Oni since secondary school.
But she was envious of the shop worker’s

and the pair had rowed in the past leading Konye to attack her with acid previously, it is alleged. The court heard Ms Oni left work at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, East London, at around 11.30pm with several colleagues. But she was oblivious to the fact she was being closely followed by Konye wearing a full niqab, a hooded black coat, gloves and a grey bag, jurors heard. CCTV showed the university student had 'lingered waiting to see the victim' at Stratford and 'tailed' her home always making sure to keep a few steps behind her, the court heard.

On the phone to her boyfriend throughout the journey, she stopped off at takeaway to pick up some food and got the 368 bus to her house. Unaware she was being followed, she got off the bus at Lodge Avenue, a few hundred yards away from her house. But she suddenly became aware of a presence behind her and spun around to see someone in a niqab who lobbed a glass of acid at her. Gareth Patterson, prosecuting, told jurors that Konye had threatened to attack Ms Oni with acid on another occasion after the pair rowed. Konye, who was arrested on February 22 last year, denied carrying out the attack or ever threatening to throw acid at Naomi. urors were told there is mobile phone evidence placing Konye on the same bus as Ms Oni.

Wearing her long hair down and a purple top and black cardigan, Konye, of Canning Town, East London, sat in the dock passively and repeatedly stared at the floor during the hearing. She denies throwing or casting a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, maim, disfigure, disable or do grievous bodily harm.

According toThe Will Nigeria a high court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State was bombed early hours of yesterday, this is how it been reported
The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. I am still born-again-Maheeda

I am married and my husband is Dutch.I am 31 and I had my daughter when I was 17. I do not think this is going to affect her in any way. When my daughter is 18, then she can decide what she wants. Currently, she is under my care and I won’t let her do what I am doing. It’s in Africa that we attach much importance to such things and consider it sacrilegious.

Maje Ayida, the CEO of Eden Lifestyle opens up

Toke Makinwa's former fiance Maje says I’m not after women in the limelight.During an interview with thisday

If you were to go on an island for an exotic weekend, what are the 5 things you will take along?

Wifi, workout gear, a good book, a good woman and a good escape clause You seem quiet but your publicized relationship via social media and blogs just hit the rocks after 12 years.

How did you handle a relationship for that long and what happened?

I don’t think relationships are things you handle or manage. Relationships are part of your life.

They are part of who you are and probably the most complex thing in the world. Earlier this year, you did the first part of traditional introduction to your ex’s family.

What exactly went wrong after that?

Wrong? I don’t think I got that memo, and if that memo got circulated, I can’t discuss it here. Everything about our lives here is a journey; a journey that I’m just glad to be on. You guys have been on and off for 12 years.

Do you see yourself going back to her considering all your tweets about your ex not focusing on your relationship rather attending events and making appearances as she claims in blogs?

Maje: I write a lot of stuff on social media. Some about me, some about life, maybe something I saw, maybe someone else’s experience, maybe my mood at the time. The idea is that someone somewhere may be feeling that same thing. Sort of like the comfort you get on knowing that you’re not alone when you hear a song that speaks what you feel. One thing I will say just as a general life tip, ‘don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.’ (not my words).

Who is your kind of woman or are you one of those who love to date women in the limelight? Maje: I’m like the United Nations. I have love for everyone. I feel anyone that says they would only date a particular type of person is limiting themselves from the beauty that is the human soul. It can take a lifetime to truly know someone; we are continually evolving. Two people together grow together and transform one another, just as experiences in life transform the individual. In other words, no, I’m not after women in the limelight.
What is your biggest regret? Maje:

My biggest regret is not having the courage to start my company sooner, while my mother was alive. Maybe it was God’s plan for me to start when the time was right, He knows best, but everyday I wish she could see by progress and be proud. It hurts to my core that she left me when I was still searching for my purpose.
