According to report Saudi Arabian preacher gets 8 years in jail for raping and killing five-year-old daughter, though a court found Muslim preacher Fayhan al-Ghamdi guilty of beating, burning, crushing, and raping his daughter Lama. The father’s sentence was lightened after Lama’s mother agreed to accept $276,000 for the daughter’s death.

The 76 destitute who were deported a few months ago to Onitsha, Anambra state, by the Lagos State government have dragged the state government to a federal High Court, demanding N1 billion in compensation for the violation of their rights. They are also asking for a written apology to be published in Thisday, Vanguard and The Sun Newspapers continuously for 30 days.

The deportees claimed they were arrested and detained for several months by the state government without being charged with any offense only to be deported to Anambra state and taken away from their families. Now they are asking a federal high court to order the Lagos state govt to compensate them and stop the government from further deporting them and accommodate them in Lagos The suit was filed by seven of the deportees on behalf of themselves and 69 others. Hearing on the suit has been set for next year January 29, 2014.

Sesan responds to Davido’s tweet on Skelewu video

Davido tweeted yesterday that the video that was released wasn't the official one and someone betrayed him by releasing it. He also said he's re-shooting the video with UK based music video director Moe Musa.

Now, Sesan has responded to the tweet.

My attention is drawn toward  the chaos surrounding the release of the Skelewu video .

Myself and my team shot the video for Davido in Nigeria and to the best of my knowledge my client and his team were very happy with the result, when they watched/ and approved the video. If he has since had a change of heart, that is ok. I am not in any way responsible for the release of the video. I believe Davido and myself did a very good job regarding the video production and as a professional of over 10 years. I find it very irresponsible and immature if my client and his management publicly put out false statements/comments, in an attempt to tarnish my name, credibility and reputation.
