Ex-wife,£17.5M in divorce settlement

Nigerian Oil Tycoon ordered to pay British

Nigerian Michael Prest has lost a legal battle with his estranged English wife Yasmin over a £17.5m divorce settlement.

The question the Supreme Court had to tackle was whether the court had power to order the transfer of the seven properties to Mrs Prest, given that they legally belonged to his companies, not him.
The Supreme Court judgement marks the latest round of a lengthy legal cash dispute between the couple over the oil tycoon's fortune.

In October, the Court of Appeal ruled that a High Court judge had earlier wrongly ordered Mr Prest to transfer properties, worth millions of pounds and held in the names of companies he controlled, to Mrs Prest.

She then asked the Supreme Court - the highest court in the UK - to assess the case, where seven judges on Wednesday unanimously allowed Mrs Prest's appeal.

Mr Prest, founder of Nigerian energy company Petrodel Resources, claimed to be worth about £48m. But Mrs Prest said he was worth much more than than that - "tens if not hundreds of millions" of pounds.

She said after the decision:

"I'm delighted and relieved that the Supreme Court has ruled as it did.'m grateful to the judges for the care and thought they gave the case."It is more a case of satisfaction and relief than celebration."None of this would have been necessary if Michael had been sensible and played fair."

Judges heard the couple - in their early 50s - married in 1993, spent most of their time in London, had properties in Nigeria and the Caribbean and lived to a "very high standard".

Lawyers said the new ruling could have significant implications for divorcing couples. The challenge concerned the position of a number of companies belonging to the Petrodel Group which are "wholly owned and controlled" by Mr Prest. One of the companies is the legal owner of five residential properties in the UK and another is the legal owner of two more.

Allowing Mrs Prest's appeal, the court declared that the seven disputed properties vested in the companies were ones that Mr Prest was "entitled, either in possession or in reversion". Mr Michael Prest, 51, and his wife, who met twenty years ago in London, enjoyed the fruits of the fortune he amassed, sending their son and three daughters to public school, and alternating their time between a multi-million pound house in London and homes in the Caribbean and Nigeria, where he was born the son of a Itsekiri chief before moving to the UK as a child.

After their separation in 2008 Mr Prest, who lives in Monaco, refused to pay the multi-million pound settlement to his 50-year-old ex-wife - a British-born IT consultant who has dual Nigerian nationality like her husband. The High Court, describing the husband as a manipulative and a “wholly unreliable witness”, ordered the transfer of 13 properties from his companies as part payment.

Mr Prest was not in court to hear the judgement being delivered.

Protest at University of Uyo,leaves one student dead.

According to report: Yesterday afternoon:
It was  a peaceful demonstration by the Engineering students of the University of Uyo at  the school's Vice Chancellor office,  after the VC - Prof Comfort Ekpo, mandated students to pay N100 for the school bus which used to be free.

The school management had shifted most of the Science student courses to the school's permanent site which is about 20 minutes drive from the main campus, and then made the shuttle N100. That means students will have to pay N200 to and fro everyday to the permanent campus for most of their lectures.

The peaceful protest turned violent after security officials at the V.C's office tried to stop the students from gaining access to the Vice Chancellor.

The students allegedly retaliated by throwing stones at the security officials, who then called for police back-up which led to the riot. The police arrived the scene and aggravated the situation by firing shots at the students, killing at least one student.

Angry students now proceeded to burn down the VC's office, the exams and records building, and a security office. Students have been evacuated from the hostel, and the school has been shut down indefinitely.

According to TMZ, Kanye West says it's all lies. "This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."

The question is,who is telling the truth,Kanye or the canadian model?

I’m having sex with Kanye while Kim's pregnant –Leyla Ghobadi

Leyla                                                                   Kim
 According to Daily Mail:

A Canadian model claims rapper Kanye West cheated on pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian after they met at one of his shows.
In stunning claims Leyla Ghobadi, 24, told America's Star magazine that their fling started in July 2012 and continued even after Kim had announced her pregnancy after Kanye dismissed his relationship with the reality star as just 'for publicity and nothing serious'.

Explaining her decision to reveal the relationship, brunette Leyla said: 'This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know.'

Kim's representatives have denied the reports, while Kanye's people have yet to respond to MailOnline's request for comment.

Kanye is said to have first set his sights on curvy model Leyla when he saw her dancing in the crowd at his show in Atlantic City in July last year.

And despite Kim also being present at the gig in Revel’s Ovation Hall, Kanye reportedly instructed a member of his entourage to seek out Leyla and invite her backstage.

The rapper is then reported to have invited Leyla for cocktails at AC’s HQ Nightclub, before asking her to come back to his hotel room.

Leyla declined, adding to the publication: 'I refused, as I felt it was too rushed.' He then reportedly asked Leyla and her friends, who had driven down from Montreal to watch his show, if they wanted to attend the concert the next evening, and gave them backstage passes.

And while Leyla admits she knew Kanye was with Kim at the time, she said the 36-year-old musician told her the relationship was 'for publicity and nothing serious'. After agreeing to accompany Kanye back to his hotel room after chatting to him backstage, Leyla said: 'We began to make out for a while - and next thing I knew, we were both naked and having sex.'

The couple's next reported meeting came in October in New York, as Kim, who had not announced her pregnancy at that point, was in Miami. Leyla even alleges that Kanye contacted her just last weekend to see if she wanted to meet up, but said that at that point she was fully aware of Kim's pregnancy, adding: 'I would never do that to someone.'

How far can you go for someone you love! Read Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's suicide letter

It has been proven that the Bollywood actress, Jiah Khan, 25, committed suicide  by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom at her residence in Mumbai on Sunday June 2nd when her mother and sister were not home. Apparently it was her boyfriend she called last before she committed suicide

In the letter, Jiah blamed her boyfriend for the emotional, physical pain she went through.

Jiah's ex-boyfriend, 21 year old Suraj Pancholi, the son of famous Bollywood actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was arrested yesterday Monday June 10th, on suspicion of abetting her suicide. Suraj, (pictured above leaving a court house after his arrest) had ended things with Jiah just weeks before she killed herself. Read Jiah's heartbreaking suicide note after the jump... 'I don't know how to say this to you but I might as well now as I have nothing to lose.

I've already lost everything. If you're reading this I might have already left or about to leave. I am broken inside. You may not have known this but you affected me deeply to a point where I lost myself in loving you. Yet you tortured me every day. These days I see no light I wake up not wanting to wake up. There was a time I saw my life with you, a future with you. But you shattered my dreams. I feel dead inside. I've never given so much of myself to someone or cared so much. You returned my love with cheating and lies. It didn't matter how many gifts I gave you or how beautiful I looked for you. I was scared of getting pregnant but I gave myself completely.

When I first met you I was driven, ambitious and disciplined. Then I fell for you, a love I thought would bring out the best in me. I don't know why destiny brought us together. After all the pain, the rape, the abuse, the torture I have seen previously I didn't deserve this. I didn't see any love or commitment from you. I just became increasingly scared that you would hurt me mentally or physically. Your life was about partying and women. Mine was you and my work. If I stay here I will crave you and miss you. So, I am kissing my 10-year career and dreams goodbye. I never went with anyone else. I am a loyal person. No other woman will give you as much as I did or love you as much as I did. I can write that in my blood... You never even met my sister.

I bought your sister presents... You never appreciated my love, kicked me in the face... The Goa trip was my birthday present but even after you cheated I still spent on you. I aborted our baby when it hurt me deeply... I wish you had loved me like I loved you... I leave this place with nothing but broken dreams and empty promises.

All I want now is to go to sleep and never wake up again...'
