“He was my first love and he has my heart completely” – Annie Idibia
The enthralling love story of 2Face
& Annie Idibia is certainly not a new one. Nonetheless,
it’s one that, cliche as it sounds, surmounts all doubt that love conquers all.
But, how did it all start? When did this roller
coaster ride of friendships, Ex-relationships, break-ups and make-ups; children
and ‘baby mamas’ turn to a Nigerian love story? How did this celebrity
love story begin ?
How They Met
Well, it began from a tender stage; one that
many, till this day, would toss aside and regard as ‘puppy love’. Annie
and 2Face (or Inno’ as she endearingly
calls him) first met at Even Ezra Music Studio when she was just fifteen and in
her words, “I think there was some electricity that second”.
They Started Dating
They were friends first but had started dating
officially by the time they shot the “African Queen” video in
2004. That was when 2Face announced that they were together during an
interview.
The Humble Beginnings

More on Annie and Tuface’s wedding tomorrow in Dubai
Guests flew in Thursday and some arrived early Friday for the wedding holding at the Sefinah Ballroom of Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Reception will hold at an exotic Island called Royal Island Beach.
P.M.NEWS learnt that guests will be conveyed in luxury boats from the wedding venue to the Island. The wedding after party will hold at Nigerian owned club, Kiza Nite Club. Many of the celebrity guests were said to have been accommodated at the Fraser Suites located at Sidra Tower-Media city, Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
Other guests are at some other luxury hotels including Golden Sands Hotel; Hilton Dubai Jumeirah; Madinat Jumeirah Hotel; Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Golden Tulip Hotel, all in Dubai. Over the last two weeks, wedding invitations were distributed to over 250 guests who are expected at the wedding. The invitation pack to tomorrow’s nuptial can best be described as a collectors’ item. It is an expensive box with chocolate ribbon.
The box contains a black invite card with white and red lettering. It has a small access tag that allows guests on to the luxury yacht where the wedding proper will hold- without the tag entry will be denied. The invitation package, designed by Karman Invitationers, a Lagos-based crafts company, also has a travel guide for first timers among their guests.
Oaken Events is the wedding planners, while Yvonne Nwosu’s Vonne Couture designed the bridesmaids’ dresses and Mai Atafo handled the suits for the groomsmen that include D’Banj, Sound Sultan, Hyacenth Idibia and Dotun Omotoye.
