Super Eagles arrive home



The Super Eagles had on Sunday night defeated Burkina Faso by a lone goal to become the African Champions for the third time.
Keshi is one of only two men to win the African Cup of Nations as both a player and a coach.

The joy continued as many people welcomed them the members of the national team, the Super Eagles along with their technical crew and officials of the Nigerian Football Federation arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on tuesday at 3:15pm to a tumultuous crowd of jubilant supporters and residents of the FCT.
 


Banky Wellington’s new endorsement renewal of N100million

EME boss, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has renewed his endorsement deal with Samsung Electronics West Africa, which will see him earn up to N100million.


His reps, in a statement, confirmed that “Banky and Nollywood star, Kate Henshaw will be the faces of Samsung Electronics West Africa Mobile Division.
They will work together to raise awareness for Samsung mobile products, and ultimately contribute to making Samsung phones the preferred brand in the West Africa sub-region.”
Banky W, who has previously been a brand ambassador for Etisalat and Coca Cola Bottling Company, expressed his gratitude for the belief and trust of the electronics giants.

“This is my second run as a Samsung brand ambassador and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” he said.
 

Stephen Okechukwu Keshi’s Official Statement over his resignation

Though it was rumoured that Keshi withdrew his resignation after a meeting with the Sports Minister yesterday.
However,this he released this morning  
My attention has been drawn to reports in the media that I have resigned my appointment as the Head Coach of Super Eagles of Nigeria.
While I have had cause to express my displeasure over some issues that happened in the course of our participation in the AFCON 2013, which my team won by the grace of God, especially concerning my relationship with the Nigerian Football Federation, I have since had opportunity to discuss the various issues with all concerned. I am therefore pleased to say that I have reconsidered my position and have decided to continue with my job.
I want to thank the Honourable Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, for his swift and kind intervention.

President Jonathan’s Convoy involved in Auto Accident in paris,France

According to Sahara reporters President Goodluck Jonathan‘s  convoy was involved in Auto Accident in Paris,France  yesterday . The accident reportedly occurred as President Jonathan was traveling with his aides to a meeting with the French President Francois Gerard Hollande.
It occurred 15 minutes away from the Elysee Palace, the venue of the official meeting with the French leader. The car involved in the accident was the fifth car behind that of President Jonathan.
The president is fine.
