15-Year-Old Prostitute Narrates How They Get Raped, Forced To Have Unprotected Sex

Elsie explains that life as a prostitute is very hard as sometimes clients refuse to pay for services provided whereas others even refuse to use protection. Since she is desperate for money she cannot deny them as they will offer more money.

"Clients sometimes force us to have unprotected or oral sex whilst others force themselves on us. As if it is not enough, the police on the other hand arrest us for loitering or even detain us for failing to pay fines after being arrested," Elsie lamented. Sometimes the cops demand sex in exchange for the hookers' freedom.

The likes of Elsie, when hunting for clients and in a bid to beat competition, have to be roaming around the streets or stalking clients at entertainment joints. Elsie is not the only sex worker facing this ordeal day in day out. Prostitutes are abused by either their clients or even some members of the security force. Society shuns these people as they regard them as social outcasts. Nyarai (20) a regular prostitute at a local nightclub said if one joins the trade they have to learn to be tough with the clients as most of the clients are cheats and bullies. "Imagine this other day I got myself a client and we agreed that he was going to pay me $50 the whole night for my services.

When we got to his place he started demanding oral sex citing that the money he was paying me was too much and also he would add $20 more. I agreed to his demands but to my disappointment the client refused to pay me. The following day, he started shouting obscenities as he violently forced me out of his house empty handed," said a tearful Nyarai. Charity who plies her trade in the same avenues area with Nyarai lamented her ordeal showing this reporter her blue-black eye she got after she refused to perform oral sex for a client. "I was physically abused, you can see these bruises on my face that I have tried to conceal with heavy makeup, however the problem is we are never taken seriously," she said. Charity did not only get to suffer physical abuse but was also robbed of $80 that she had made the previous day. She also narrated how her friend in the trade whom she referred to as Senator was raped by a client after she had refused to engage in sex before the client had paid her for her services.

The client got furious and forced himself on her friend and had unprotected sex with her. "The man pinned her down and had unprotected sex with her for the whole night, he also denied her freedom to leave till morning time," narrated Nyarai.

She went on to say that Senator could not report the offence the next day as she thought that the police would not sympathise with her as she is just a prostitute, furthermore the events were common in their trade thus it was "not new and worth reporting".

King Sunny Ade opens up on his ex-guitarist cocaine possession

 Fatoke Abiodun nabbed with cocaine

King Sunny Ade's ex-guitarist, 62year old Fatoke Abiodun (left) was arrested on Tuesday January 1 2013 at MMIA with 1.575kg of cocaine as he attempted to leave Nigeria. Fatoke said he turned to drugs after he was unceremoniously retired in 2007 without severance pay after playing with KSA for 30 years. King Sunny Ade has finally reacted, saying his former guitarist was not a member of staff of his company but just a member of his band, who was not entitled to a severance pay.

According to the interview Sunny Ade had with the Punch

I pay salaries to the members of staff of my company. As for my band members, we share money based on what we make at every show where we perform. I would first of all, remove the money for taxes, equipment we used and other stuff connected to the performance.

Thereafter, the remaining money is shared among all of us. Before now, I advised my band members that we should have a common purse, where we should leave money for welfare. But they refused and insisted that everything should be shared. If he and the others had agreed to my advice then, he wouldn’t have had any reason to say he didn’t get any severance allowance,”

“But he worked for me for 30 years. Those who have even worked for me for two years are so well off now. How can he say he didn’t have anything after 30 years? Are those there now complaining? “And to set the records straight, I didn’t sack him, he left on his own. We came back from an international show and he told me he wanted to start his own band and said I should assist him.

“Before I knew what was happening, he went to Ibadan with my guitar without my knowledge in order to start his own band. I told him to return my guitar and when he didn’t, I had to involve the police. That was how he left,” KSA added. He said he had not seen Abiodun since he left his band in 2007.

“Anybody who is involved in any crime has it in him. It is not proper for anybody to say that it was a condition that led him to a crime. He was among those in the high category in my band. It is surprising that he claimed he had nothing. I have never seen or heard from him since he left my band. “In the 30 years he worked for me, he never exhibited such criminal attitude. I am always concerned about the people travelling with me.

I make sure we all travel light and get whatever we need for the performance in the country we are going. “I have never seen cocaine. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and we are always checked thoroughly at the airport here and at the airport over there,” he said.
