Pastor Obu is the head of Latter House of God Church located at 26/27 Guinness Street, Pero bus stop, Agege, Lagos.

According to PM News, 17 year-old Samuel went to the beach in company of a female member of his father’s church, Comfort Adikpe, 30; her boyfriend, Busayo and her younger brother, Godwin to enjoy themselves.

The report stated that before Samuel went to the beach on Sunday, he approached his mother to give him transport money. But when she delayed, he went into his mother’s bedroom and picked a N1,000 note for his journey.

Comfort told PM News that Samuel drowned at the beach when he and her brother, Godwin, went to play in the Atlantic sea waves. “When the wave swept him away, we begged the divers to rescue Samuel and after some efforts they retreated when the wave was about sweeping them away also,” she said. She added that when the matter was later reported at the police station at about 7.35 p.m on that fateful day, she was detained till the following morning when she was released.

Comfort, a recharge card seller who hails from Benue State, north-central Nigeria, added that Samuel and Godwin were drummers at Latter House of God founded by Samuel’s father. When PM News visited the Pastor’s residence yesterday, the mother of the late Samuel was still in shock.

All she could manage to say was, “we are still confused about what happened to my first child.”

Iyanya in trouble with police over N1.7million

“Yes I was at the Police Station this morning, we have decided to return all money paid to us, it’s not a problem,” Ubi-Franklin told NET.
He also gave his own account of what really happened.
“We were paid to attend and perform at the Benin and Port Harcourt shows but we missed both due to reasons beyond our control. We missed the Benin gig because we were in Ghana as at that time and we arrived pretty late for the PH gig. We however had issues with initial payment from the show organizers also.”

This how it went down: Kukere master Iyanya and his manager, Ubi Franklin, are trying to negotiate themselves out of police trouble. The Police in Port Harcourt are on the trail of the duo, after they received the sum of N1.7 million from popular show organiser, Opa Williams.

The fee was for Iyanya to perform at two Nite of a Thousand Laughter shows in Port Harcourt and Benin. The singer missed both shows, even after travelling to Port Harcourt, along with rapper Olamide and comedian Bovi, on a flight paid for by the organisers.

“We were all disappointed, we waited in vain. As soon as Bovi announced he was not going to show up, everybody started leaving,” a guest who attended the event held at the Hotel Presidential said.

On Wednesday morning, policemen from the Mile 3 division invited both Iyanya and Franklin over the issue, which had be lodged by Opa Williams.

Annual prophesies ,2013-Pastor Enoch Adeboye

“God says, He will speak peace to your storms; Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow.”
On the international platform, the cleric said prominent world leaders need a lot of prayers so as not to die in office. In addition, he said prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals, even as he said that weather conditions may get worst, much worst, unless prayers are intensified.

Pastor Adeboye said: “We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year,” concluding that nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury.
Earlier in a brief sermon titled; “Preparing for a year of signs and wonders”, he outlined certain principles to enable one tap into heavenly reservoir of the miraculous.

According to him, this year will be a better year than the just ended one, maintaining that the principles must include praise and worship of God, putting God first before any other consideration; evangelism; control the fullness of your joy, pointing out that one who is close to God can control even the weather around him.

Pastor Adeboye was very particular about the praise of God as a veritable tool for signs and wonders, noting that one can pray, study the Bible in silence but no one can praise God in silence. The congregation applauded when he said: “You can never praise God quietly”, stressing that praising Him comes from a heart of gratitude and it’s not quietly. “If they say we are crazy for shouting Hallelujah in our environment and wherever we find ourselves, then that is a good kind of craziness,” he stated, adding that nobody says thank you to his benefactor with his mouth closed.

While assuring worshippers that 2013 is a year of doors, Adeboye said it is one thing to enter into a New Year and it is another to have a brand new beginning, hence he enjoined every Nigerian to live right with God who only has the capacity to give of His limitless bounties and guarantee all round peace and calm every storm in our lives.
