Security official and his entire family wiped out by suspected Boko Haram militants in Kano
Police sources said today that four men arrived on the bikes and entered the home of the yet to be identified NSCDC officer in Hotoron Gabas district. They locked the entire family in a room and shot them dead.
“Four of them came on two motorcycles and entered the house. They put all the four people (victims) in a room and shot them dead” before escaping, a neighbour said.
Although no one has claimed responsibility, members of the Boko Haram sect shot dead a secret police officer outside his house in the same Hotoro neighbourhood in June.
It was gathered that the four victims of the attack were killed instantly when the gunmen opened fire on them.
The scene of the attack was cordoned off by armed security operatives, who have intensified their search for the fleeing suspects.
The bodies of the victims were deposited at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital mortuary.

Auto crash -10 primary school pupils found dead

Aide to Edo Deputy Governor kidnapped in Benin
The deputy governor, Dr. Pius Odubo heard of the development from journalists who called to intimate him of his aide’s abduction. When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, Edo State Police Command, Anthony Airhuowo, denied any knowledge of Odaro’s abduction.
He said, “I’m not aware yet, let me make some calls, and I will get back to you.” Our correspondent reports that Odaro’s wife, Patience confirmed the abduction of her husband.
Odaro was kidnapped at the entrance of his Ikpoba Hill residence close to the Agbo Park in Benin.
This development came barely five months after a Principal Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Olaitan Oyerinde was murdered by gunmen.

Davido says- alleged arrest warrant is false
I want to assure all my beloved fans and friends that, I am not wanted by the police and no officer in the Nigerian police gave an order for my arrest.
I went to the police some weeks ago to give a statement and cleared my name. I did not beat up any taxi driver and the lady that hired the taxi driver and all those that are involved in this matter have made statements to the police and none of them mentioned my name except the taxi driver who claims that a large sum of money was missing in his taxi, in fact the lady in question stated that she was not beaten by anyone and that nobody assaulted the taxi driver. This is a case of blackmail, and I have resolved not to succumb to any blackmail for money.
