Privatisation of PHCN to commence this week…

According to Prof. Nnaji, the federal government will this week also sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Canada-based Manitoba Hydro International Limited for the management of the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
The restructuring of the PHCN saw the emergence of 18 successor companies – six generation, one transmission and 11 distribution companies.

Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright involved in an auto accident

News just getting in  confirms that sultry Nollywood actress, Bukky Wright was involved in an auto accident this morning, Monday, July 16, 2012 in Lagos.

According to a brief, but sketchy information gathered, Bukky Wright was involved in the car crash in Epe, an outskirt of Lagos.

We learnt that she has been rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is presently receiving treatment. Details coming soon.

Falling in love with your natural hair part 2

August last year this beautiful hair of mine was mismanaged by a particular salon because I couldn’t get to my own salon I usually go to because I was shooting on one of my shows, I decided to go to a nearby salon to save time…..only for them to cut my hair while trying to loose  a weave on, the worst part the hairstylist didn’t tell me, I later discovered it when I got home, of course I was upset,……to cut the long story short, the owner of the salon apologized and offered me free hair do for 6months any style of my choice…..In all honesty, I was amazed  but I declined the offer, I had to cut the hair so short  but now it’s grown back …..Just in case you’ve given up on healthy hair you still have hope ……..you might want to follow these steps click here. But if you are naturally blessed like me my advice to you is maintain a particular hairstylist and use a particular product that best suits your hair type.

This is my real hair not weave on and these pictures were taken yesterday with my phone except the last pix.That was taken few weeks later.

Meet Kimberly Smedley who made $1.5 million from her illegal butt enhancement business

Smedley was investigated last year after one woman fell seriously ill from receiving silicone injections. She was arrested at a hotel in Washington D.C. as she was preparing to see customers.

This is how she operates, she does all her injections in hotels across US, where she keeps the silicone in a water jug for the procedures - and uses 'super glue with cotton balls to prevent silicone leaking out' of the women's flesh.

She charges between $500 and $1,600 per procedure until last year one of her customers feel ill, she was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine and more than $8,000 in restitution.

Mr. Rafiu Balogu & others react to Patience Jonathan’s appointment as Permanent Secretary

The Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin branch, Mr. Rafiu Balogu, and leader of Committee of Muslim Organisations, Kwara State, Prof. Shehu Jimoh, on Thursday in Ilorin, described the appointment of the wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan as one of the 17 new Permanent Secretaries in Bayelsa State civil service as surprising and shocking.
Balogun, in an interview with our correspondent on Thursday said the appointment was surprising and puzzling. He said the President's wife could not have merited the appointment as the office of permanent secretary was not a political appointment but career based.That such an appointment indicated that the Presidency was condoning corruption.

53-year-old Michael Marin who poisoned himself with sodium cyanide in a court

Investigators said Marin deliberately burned down his $3.5 million suburban Phoenix mansion in July 2009 after it failed to sell at a charity auction and he could no longer pay the mortgage. He was seen escaping the fire by climbing down a rope ladder while wearing scuba gear.

A Maricopa County Superior Court jury found Marin guilty last week of arson of an occupied structure. Prosecutors said he could have faced 16 years in prison for the charges.
