The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has fined four Global System for Mobile Communications operators

MTN, Etisalat, Airtel and Globacom for delivering poor Quality of Services in the months of March and April.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Lagos, the NCC said the four GSM operators are to pay a cumulative sum of N1.17bn.
The regulatory body said MTN and Etisalat were to pay N360m each, Airtel would pay N270m, while Globacom attracted a penalty of N180m.
The statement reads:

“All the operators are to pay the penalties on or before May 21, 2012 or be liable to payment of additional N2.5 million per day for as long as the contravention persists.”
“The penalties are as a result of the contravention of the provisions of the Quality of Service Regulation by the NCC.”
“The operators failed to meet with the minimum standard of quality of service, including the key performance indicators.”

One of the commentates said the network provider should pay the fine to subscribers because they are the ones who suffered for  the poor network and inconveniences. I totally agree do you?

Man Stuck To Another Man's Wife While Having Sex

This video has been on twitter and facebook for a while now……the story had it that:

A Kenyan man was suspecting his wife of having extra marital affair and eventually went to sought for black magic( juju) to help him catch who was having an affair with.
It seems the juju somehow worked. The wife and her lover were glued together after a love making as it drew a big crowd outside to witness the drama, as police ran out of options on how to help the two. The cheating man finally agreed to pay the husband Sh20,000 in compensation. Then a local pastor was called in to pray for them for freedom and the two were finally separated. At the end of the video the cheating man was seen heading out to withdraw the money from an ATM.
.  This is the video

Do you remember the movie Fatal Attraction featuring Michael Douglas and Anne Archer where a married man's one night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family?

This scared most men in America cheating on their wives or partner…..do you think this video you just watched can scare men too in Africa?

Bola Adebisi Caught In US Airport With Swallowed 100 Pellets Of Heroin!!!

What is it that we will not hear or read all in the name of making QUICK MONEY….Don’t they think that they will be caught some day?

Airport authorities at the Dulles International Airport, say that 52-year-old Bola Adebisi ingested an incredible 180 thumb-sized pellets filled with heroin.

Adebisi claimed she was visiting her brother in the U.S., but she was unable give details of her "brother" and his address. A routine pat-down showed that her belly was suspiciously rigid, and an X-ray revealed to astonished officials that she had in her stomach 180 thumb-sized pellets with a total weight of five pounds.

Steve Sapp of the Customs and Border Protection, said: “We were kind of shocked and surprised at the sheer number of pellets she ingested. We usually see men twice her size ingest about half of what she did.”

According to International Business Times, Adebisi broke a previous record for ingested drugs set on March 30, 2011, by another Nigerian man, 46-year-old Yomade Aborishade of Lagos, Nigeria, who was arrested for ingesting four pounds of heroin in 100 pellets. The lady was taken to the hospital where overnight, she passed out all the pellets containing heroin worth an estimated 150,000 pounds.

Christopher Hess, director of Customs and Border Patrol for Washington D.C. said: "The amount of pellets and heroin this woman ingested is incredible, a serious health risk, and very troubling if these numbers become the new normal." Authorities say drug mules often attempt to smuggle heroin and cocaine, and sometimes ecstasy by swallowing latex balloons, often condoms or fingers of latex gloves or other special pellets filled with the drugs and later recovered from faeces. It is a medically dangerous way of smuggling small amounts of drugs and a mule can die if a packet bursts or leaks before exiting the body.

Statistics from 2003 show over 50% of foreign females in UK jails were drug mules from Jamaica, with Nigerian women making a large contribution to the balance. Adebisi, according to MSNBC, will be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. Handout photo provided by the US Customs and Border Protection shows nearly five pounds of ingested heroin pellets

Six policemen beat colleague to coma

Really? What’s your take on this

It was like a horror scene in a movie, when six policemen from Elimgbu Divisional Police Headquarters, Port Harcourt, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, descended heavily on their colleague, for having the effrontery to challenge them for forcibly extorting money from a commercial bus driver.

The victim, Corporal James Ameh, who is of Police Mobile Force (PMF) 56, based in Ogoni in Rivers State, was beaten to coma, with guns, stones and planks used in hitting his head and body by the six policemen, making him to break his spinal cord.

He became unconscious, thereby falling into a deep drain constructed by Julius Berger Construction Company.

Ameh’s well-starched uniform was also torn by his attackers, who almost killed him, for attempting to stop his colleagues from extortion. The incident occurred around 6 pm on Thursday at the newly-constructed Eleme Junction Intersection/Flyover in Port Harcourt, a multimillion naira project initiated by the administration of Sir Celestine Omehia and recently completed by the Rotimi Amaechi’s government.

The intersection/flyover is on the ever-busy Port Harcourt-Aba-Enugu Expressway and not far from the two refineries in Eleme, Port Harcourt and Indorama-Eleme Petrochemicals Company. It was learnt that Ameh was in a bus coming from his duty post in Ogoni and wore a riot police uniform, while the six policemen, who were on patrol, flagged down the commercial bus, fully-loaded with passengers, with the intention of collecting roja (bribe) from the driver, opposite a 7-Up depot near Eleme Junction.

The victim alighted from the bus and pleaded with his colleagues to allow the driver to go without collecting money from him, considering esprit de corps. This infuriated the six policemen, who decided to beat him up, in spite of his pleas for mercy, making him to end up in the deep drain. Sensing danger, the six policemen, who came with a patrol vehicle, immediately left the scene to avoid being mobbed by aggrieved passers-by, who later got the patrol vehicle’s registration number and reported to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Elimgbu Divisional Police Headquarters. Sensing that the DPO might not take the matter seriously possibly to protect policemen working with him, the passers-by also reported to the Rivers Police Headquarters, along Moscow Road in Port Harcourt, for the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Indabawa, to take urgent action. Sympathisers later brought out the victim from the drain and laid him by the road side where he was for almost one hour before the Commander of Mopol 56 was contacted and he came to move Ameh to the Police Clinic at the old Government Reservation Area (GRA), Port Harcourt.

The bloodied policeman is now in critical condition. It was learnt that arrangements were being made by police authorities to move Ameh to an undisclosed better-equipped hospital to save his life, considering the serious injuries he sustained. A source at the Elimgbu Police Station said the six affected policemen were immediately arrested, detained and currently being investigated.

If found culpable, the source added that the security personnel might be dismissed and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others. The Rivers Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ben Ugwuegbulam, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the incident, which he said was being investigated

Today: 31 years remembrance of Bob Marley

Do you remember him? what a question...I'm sure you do!

Africans all over the world will be commemorating the life of the late reggae music legend, Bob Marley who died on May 11 1981 after succumbing to terminal cancer at the age of 36.
Robert Nester Marley, the iconic star, transformed the world with his revolutionary songs that inspired many people and societies especially those grappling with colonization, injustice and slavery.
Marley has three children with his first wife Rita, adopting her two children as his own. Their three children Cedella, Ziggy and Stephen have all gone on to have musical careers, with Ziggy and Cedella working together in the group the Melody Makers.

O yes! there are some people that cannot be forgotten so easily....right?

Stephen Marley has produced and written songs for the youngest of the Marley siblings Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, who also is enjoying a robust career himself. Kymani Marley is also working on an album due this year, his sixth named New Heights. Bob Marley’s influence in hip-hop culture is widespread.
In 1999, Island Records released a compilation of Marley’s master vocal tracks with some updated performances featuring the likes of the late Guru of Gang Starr fame, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and others.
Bob Marley’s music also had an impact on New Jersey trio the Fugees. (Former Fugee member Lauryn Hill has five children with one of Marley’s sons, Rohan.) Pot-loving rappers such as Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg also owe Marley a nod as the green leaf was a common fixture in the reggae singer’s life.

Marley released 13 albums over the course of his career alongside his band the Wailers, with Confrontation released in 1983 posthumously.

Bob Marley was born in the largest parish in the island of Jamaica, Saint Ann, which is also home to reggae stars Shabba Ranks, Burning Spear and black nationalist Marcus Garvey, also a hero of Marley.

The movie synopsis... Brilliant Cancer specialist Dr. Michael Durant is emotionally troubled, wrestling with the traumatic loss of his 10 year old daughter from Cancer. Immersing himself in his work in the hospital, away from his wife who blames him for their child’s death, he forms an unlikely bond with a sick, loving, but rambunctious seven year old boy Sam, the son of a rich Jewish couple who are major contributors to the Hospital’s Cancer Research Fund.

Unfortunately, Sam’s health deteriorates drastically, and soon, he slips into a coma, with only a few days to live. Dr. Durant becomes desperate, willing to risk anything to save the child’s life. A surreptitious Nigerian Nurse convinces him to seek the help of Dr. Bello, an uncertified Nigerian Doctor, known in the Brooklyn-African underground as a miracle worker. Dr. Bello, an introvert with a controversial past, secretly visits the child at night and administers a strange African potion, replete with incantations and by the next morning, miraculously, the child begins to recover, the Cancer speeding into remission.

The Hospital Medical Board immediately orders an investigation and soon the secret is revealed and Dr. Durant is suspended. Dr. Bello is arrested and charged with medical malpractice. Dr. Durant soon falls into depression after his wife leaves him. Meanwhile, Dr. Bello has fallen critically ill in jail and can only be saved by the ingestion of the same potion that can only be found in the mysterious “Garden of Life,” nestled on the peak of Nigeria’s sky mountains.
