So many people have been asking, is Ini Edo’s marriage real or she’s just fooling herself. Oh well !I hate to burst your bubble! But this is straight from the horse’s mouth :

Ini Edo ”Well, it is not easy at all especially since my husband is based abroad. I was actually supposed to leave for the United States last month (February) but I got so preoccupied that I had to call my husband and ask if he could come over.
Eventually, I had to plead with him before he agreed that I should come at a later date. It is not easy but he is very understanding and he appreciates my job a lot. He knows I work very hard, so we have a good understanding and we communicate often.
I have actually been able to hold on to my marriage. It depends on how you set your priorities and not get carried away by the whole fame thing. You should know where to be at the appropriate time and where not to be at all. I just create a balance between my career and my personal life.Like I said earlier my husband is based in the United States of America, but we see each other all the time. He just left Nigeria in January, and I should be with him in the US soon we shuttle. It is either he comes to Nigeria or I go over to the US.
He knows that I am not a bad person, he knows me well enough not to bother about the stories, all he does is call me up to find out what is happening.(laughs) Talking about the scandals, my husband knows me more than any other person.
Sometimes, when they say things about me and we are together at such moments, he would look at me and say; are you the same person that people are talking about? He knows what I can do.
I don’t think I will quit acting. I might divert to other areas that has to do with movies. My being involved in the entertainment world has not really affected my home, so there is nothing like calling it quits.”

Prediction of 236days heavy rain in Lagos, 2012

No one can forget the effect of the heavy downpour of last year, it was so bad that many lives were lost and properties destroyed and now there is a prediction of rainfall in Lagos AGAIN! This time 236days! this sounds really bad O!

The Commissioner-Tunji Bello said: “The natural phenomena that controlled 2011 rainfall are still in force and as such it has been predicted that rainfall will commence from Thursday, March 22, with a margin of error of four days. To a large extent we will agree that this prediction is true as the rains have started in Lagos. It has also been predicted that the end of the season for 2012 is November 12 with a margin of error of two days; with between November 10 and 14 as probable days. The total length of rainy season for the year is approximately put at 236 days with a margin of error of two days. Like last year, Lagos will experience heavy rainfall with serious intensity.”


He further assured residents that the government had designed programmes to manage the expected rain water and minimize flooding through exercises such as massive clearing of drainages, dredging of primary and secondary channels, lining of many earth channels and the introduction of resident drainage maintenance officers in local councils in the state. The effects of last year’s rain on Sunday July 10, 2011 which lasted for about 15 hours still brings unpleasant memories to those who witnessed it. Some houses and cars were completely submerged in water and the flood got into people’s home in ways they never wished for. The floods showed the poor condition of drainages and the state’s unpreparedness for heavy rainfall.

Honestly I was expecting to read or hear that we need not to worry that every loop holes that made many lose lives and properties have been taken care of 100%, so that we as citizens can go about our daily lives without fear of these 236days rain prediction. Do you agree?

Trayvon entered the estate to visit someone, the watchman saw him, he was black, he was wearing a hoodie, to him that seemed suspicious, and so he started to follow the boy. There was a confrontation; Trayvon gets two bullets to the chest.

Zimmerman was on his way to the grocery store when he spotted Trayvon walking through his gated community. Trayvon was visiting his father's fiancée, who lived there.

He had been suspended from school in Miami after being found with an empty marijuana baggie. Miami schools have a zero-tolerance policy for drug possession.

Zimmerman called police and reported a suspicious person, describing Trayvon as black, acting strangely and perhaps on drugs.

 Zimmerman got out of his SUV to follow Trayvon on foot. When a dispatch employee asked Zimmerman if he was following the 17-year-old, Zimmerman said yes.

The dispatcher told Zimmerman he did not need to do that. There is about a one-minute gap during which police say they're not sure what happened.

Zimmerman told them he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words. Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone, he told police.

Trayvon then said, "Well, you do now" or something similar and punched Zimmerman in the nose. Zimmerman fell to the ground and Trayvon got on top of him and began slamming his head into the sidewalk, he told police. Zimmerman began yelling for help.

Several witnesses heard those cries, and there's been a dispute about from whom they came: Zimmerman or Trayvon. Lawyers for Trayvon's family say it was Trayvon, but police say their evidence indicates it was Zimmerman.

One witness, who has since talked to local television news reporters, told police he saw Zimmerman on the ground with Trayvon on top, pounding him and was unequivocal that it was Zimmerman who was crying for help.

Zimmerman then shot Trayvon once in the chest from very close range, according to authorities. When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a swollen lip and had bloody lacerations to the back of his head.

Paramedics gave him first aide but he said no to going to the hospital. He got medical care the next day. Zimmerman was never arrested by police. They took his statement and let him go. He claimed he had acted in self defense.

New developments have surfaced in the case, including a new witness who came forward suggesting that Zimmerman pinned Trayvon face down after the shooting and did nothing to help him.

According to Mary Cutcher on Dateline NBC, she and her roommate both saw Zimmerman "straddling the body, basically a foot on both sides of Trayvon's body, and his hands pressed on his back." Mary Cutcher told Dateline NBC’s Lester Holt in an interview: “It sounded young. It didn’t sound like a grown man is my point. It sounded to me like someone was in distress and it wasn’t like a crying, sobbing boo-hoo, it was a definite whine."

Cutcher added that Zimmerman told her and her roommate to call the police. "Zimmerman never turned him over or tried to help him or CPR or anything," Cutcher said.

 What did I just read? really sad story. Meanwhile Zimmerman has not be arrested.....Is this racism or what?

Hope he is brought to justice soonest.

29year old man rapes his in-law to death

Lately there has been series of rape here and there….. it baffles me really, what kind of love  will make a grown man to rape a woman? Is she the only woman in the world? This is 21^st century for crying out loud, if one says NO; try another who can equally make you happy.

It was reported that Titus Ime trailed Blessing John to her father’s farm and raped her to death.

Titus claimed that he did what he did because Blessing refused to date him. This is what Titus said” I just moved to Lagos from Akwa-Ibom State to look for a job,my uncle is married to her elder sister. "As soon as I set my eyes on her, I fell in love with her but I kept it to myself.

When I could not bear it anymore, I went to her to declare my love for her but she turned me down. I kept pestering her but she refused blatantly that she did not love me; this made me angry.” Titus added that despite Blessing’s refusal to date him, he had to device a means to force her to have sex with him. “I did not intend to kill Blessing but my feeling for her was very strong.

So after monitoring her movement for some time, I discovered that she goes to the farm to uproot cassava in the evening with her father. That day, I trailed her from her house to the forest. She was alone and she did not know I was following her, when she got into the dense forest and there was no one in sight, I ran ahead of her and grabbed her, and started declaring my love for her but she turned me down. "I was very angry and I grabbed her dress. She started struggling with me but I took a big stick and hit her on her head, she slumped immediately and I bend down over her and removed her skirt and had sex with her. All this while, she did not respond but I still had sex with her a second time but I do not know that she was dead; I thought she was just unconscious.”

 After committing the act, the suspect hid in the forest for four days. He however came out of his hiding when he could not bear the hunger anymore, and reported himself to his family who then handed him over to the police for prosecution. Blessing’s corpse was discovered by her father and has been deposited at a public mortuary for autopsy, while the case has been transferred to the Homicide department at Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

Lagos state to Spend 1 Billion Naira on Bola Tinubu's Birthday

Can someone tell me this is April fool in advance! Is this for real?

Reliable sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Tinubu, a professed opposition figure and leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), made it compulsory that the chairmen of all local governments under the party contribute cash to give him a birthday that one of his critics has described as “obscene and immoral.” In all, the ACN chieftain has asked the state and local governments to cough up N1 billion.

Our sources revealed that tension may be brewing between Mr. Tinubu and Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State over the latter’s refusal to contribute towards the lavish birthday party.

Mr. Ajimobi recently hosted President Goodluck Jonathan's wife, Patience, during her visit to Oyo State. A source close to the governor told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan told Mr. Ajimobi not to create enmity with PDP elements in his state. She reportedly described former Governor Tinubu as a closet member of the PDP. Our source said Mrs. Jonathan, who was piqued by Tinubu’s recent criticisms of her husband’s policies, also revealed that Mr. Tinubu has met secretly with her husband on several occasions. She said that, at one such private meeting last year in France, President Jonathan and Tinubu struck a deal to quash a case against the former governor for violations of Code of Conduct provisions.

After portraying Mr. Tinubu as a selfish politician out for his personal financial interests, Mrs. Jonathan told Ajimobi to contact her directly if he needed anything from Mr. Jonathan. A source in Oyo stated that Governor Ajimobi’s decision not to bankroll Tinubu’s birthday extravaganza may signal the governor’s determination to escape from under Mr. Tinubu’s tyrannical style of leadership within the ACN political orbit and Ajimobi's move to start a gradual migration back to the PDP. Ajimobi is generally described as a non-performing governor by Oyo indigenes. Although Mr. Tinubu claims to be 60 years old, a source told us that he is at least 67 years old.
