The longest TV music and dance show creator, Don Cornelius died on Wednesday.

Don Cornelius, 75,the man who launched "Soul Train" in Chicago in the early 1970s and hosted it for more than 20 years, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Wednesday(01/02/2012). He had suffered from health problems, a difficult divorce, and had pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor spousal battery charge in 2009.

Fans of "Soul Train" boogied down Broadway wearing afro wigs and bell bottoms on Saturday while others recounted their favorite episodes at a Harlem meeting hall in tribute to the TV show's late creator, Don Cornelius.

About 100 dancers descended on Times Square in a "flash mob" organized through the Internet. As startled tourists looked on, they recreated one of the show's "Soul Train lines" in which people would take turns dancing toward a TV camera while showing off their most outrageous moves.

She was arrested by the United Kingdom security agents on December 18, 2011 for smuggling hard drugs, has been sentenced to five and half years imprisonment by the U.K judiciary.

It is a quarter of a million pounds worth of cocaine, she pleaded guilty to the charge. She had flown from Lagos, Nigeria into London’s Heathrow airport as a member of crew on the Nigerian flag carrier flight.

After serving her jail term in London, Ogbonnaya would be deported back to Nigeria.

According to information gathered, the U.K Border Agency officers at the airport’s crew clearance facility, during the search conducted on her luggage revealed that she was carrying a rucksack with a false back. Officers had discovered packages of cocaine hidden behind the false back.

Forensic tests later showed the packages contained approximately two kilos of high purity cocaine, which if cut and sold on the UK streets would have had a value of around £250,000 (about N60m).
