Hamza Al-Mustapha on the 30/01/2012 was led to death row

The 13 -year long trial of former chief security officer to Nigeria's infamous dictator, General Sanni Abacha ended dramatically today leading to a death sentence pronounced by a Lagos High court judge. Hamza Al Mustapha had ordered the killing of pro-democracy activist, Kudirat Abiola on June 4 1996 in broad daylight during the dark days of military despotism.

The man who was once one of the the most feared military officers is facing nemesis for his acts of impunity as an enforcer to a deadly military dictator. Al Mustapha was led to the death row in Kirikiri prison in Lagos after the verdict. But it wasn't without the support of a former Wimbledon soccer star, John Fashanu, who came to court to cheer for hitman.

Making sense of it is vital to all us.

A federal capital territory, FCT high court presided over by Justice Sulaiman Belgore on Tuesday 31st January 2012 discharged a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole and his deputy, Bayero Nafada of the corruption charges filed against them by Nigeria’s anti-graft agency,EFCC.

Bankole was arraigned last year of looting the accounts of the House of Representatives as speaker using the public account to borrow money from the banks, which were eventually laundered to buy choice properties at giveaway prices. Through such acts of money laundering his family is the proud owner of the NITEL building in Lagos as well as his former residence which was sold to him for meager N40 million.

So now they were acquitted on the basis that they have no case to answer in connection with a N40billion embezzlement charge.

Is this fair?

The tattoo is very similar to former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson's tattoo, don't you think so?

First Rihanna tattooed "Thug Life" across her knuckles, and now Amber Rose, the 28-year-old model and aspiring singer appears to have had her face tattooed.

The former girlfriend of Kanye West was seen sporting a tribal design around her left eye as she hosted a party in Miami, Florida over the weekend with boyfriend rapper Wiz Khalifa.

The tattoo is very similar to former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson's tattoo, a tribal design also located on the left hand side of his face.

Whether or not Amber's tattoo is permanent or fake, the vivacious blonde confidently showed off her new look. She flaunted her ample curves in a bright yellow tube dress, paired with a bleached and frayed denim jacket. She accessorised with some wacky sunglasses and plenty of gold jewellery.

Amber's new tattoo joins an array of tattoos located all over her voluptuous body. They include a rose design on her arm, flowers adorned on her stomach and animal paw prints running up her thigh.

oops! IT WAS NOT HER PERIOD AFTERALLL......

Before her performance at the funeral of soul legend Etta James, Christina Aguilera seemingly over did the fake tan which resulted in unpleasant streaks down her leg.

As the blonde bombshell belted out a rendition of Etta's most popular song, At Last, lines of fake tan could be seen streaked down the inside of her thigh, across her shin.

... It appeared Miss Aguilera was aware that something was awry as she attempted to subtly wipe her legs with the sleeve of her jacket just before she began to sing.

Despite the mishap, Genie In A Bottle singer gave a heartfelt performance at the funeral.
She wore an all black ensemble that comprised of a skirt and a blazer but showed a little bit too much cleavage for such a sombre occasion.

With her trademark curves covered up, the tanned diva was moved by her own performance and admitted before the funeral that James was one of her idols.

Christina said via Twitter: 'One of the greatest moments of my life...Singing with my idol, the legendary Etta James. You will be forever missed.'

SEE WHAT OVER FAKE TAN CAN RESULT TO........Easy in over doing things, that is definitely a lesson we should all learn from this.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has urged African leaders to respect gay rights.

He was speaking at the two-day summit, in the African Union's new building in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Discrimination based on sexual orientation had been ignored or even sanctioned by many countries in Africa, Mr Ban told the African Union summit.

Ban Ki-moon told delegates that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity "prompted many African governments to treat people as second class citizens or even criminals". Homosexual acts are illegal in most African countries, including key Western allies such as Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and Botswana - a situation which has drawn increasing criticism from activists and the West. Both the US and UK have recently warned they would use foreign aid to push for homosexuality to be decriminalised on the socially conservative continent.
