A 2year ban to Luiz Suarez for trying to bite Giorgio Chiellini



Pictures have emerged of Uruguayan and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez trying to bite Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini (left) 12 months before biting him again at their match last night in Brazil. The first incident happened during a Confederations Cup clash between Italy and Uruguay in 2013.

 Suárez is reportedly  facing a two year ban for trying to bite Giorgio Chiellini in the match in Brazil. FIFA disciplinary committee said yesterday that it had opened proceedings against him and has asked his team to present evidence . "Any type of proof may be produced, including reports from referees, declarations from the parties and witnesses, material evidence, audio or video recordings’. the committee said.

A decision on whether he is guilty of biting or not will be published before Saturday when Uruguay will play Colombia.

Ayo Fayose Ekiti Governor-elect to answer EFCC



On the 21st Ayo Fayose won the election in Ekiti State may have won the election in Ekiti state but he still has a corruption case to answer, this is according to EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren. 

Speaking with Punch Yesterday, Mr. Uwujaren said Fayose's election has not affected his ongoing trial at the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, for alleged corruption.
"The EFCC has not dropped the case against the former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose. The trial is still going on; it is continuing at the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti. In fact further hearing comes up on July 15, 2014.
As you know, immunity from prosecution applies only to the President, the Vice President, sitting governors and their deputies.”
It is the court that would decide whether the case would be discontinued or not; all arguments will be canvassed in court and it is the court that would decide,” he said.
