President Jonathan who has cancelled all his public engagements scheduled for tomorrow, has also directed that the Nigerian flag be flown at half-mast for the three days of national mourning.
In compliance with the President’s directive, the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah has already left Abuja for Lagos to oversee the crash investigations and present an interim report to the Federal Government as quickly as possible.

Plane creash in Lagos-Dana Air from Abuja to Lagos

                                                                                                            
A commercial airliner operated by DANA Air and carrying 153 passengers has crashed in the Iju area of Lagos.
The aircraft was arriving from Abuja on a local flight when it crashed into a powerline in the area. As at filling this report not less than three buildings have been gutted by fire following the crash.

The crashed cargo plane crashed after attempting to  land at the  international airport in Ghana's capital,which happened Saturday night in Accra at the Kotoka International Airport. Witnesses said the plane crashed through the airport's perimeter fence and hit a bus loaded with passengers on a nearby street killing at least 10 people.

Namibian national team arrives Nigeria for World Cup qualifier

The Brave Warriors of Namibia today arrived Lagos as they prepare to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a crucial FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifier game on Sunday, 3rd June 2012, at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

They are to travel to Calabar, venue of the match, tomorrow.

The Namibians return home on Tuesday next week to prepare for another game against Kenya, to be played on June 9 at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek.

That match will be followed by the return leg of the 2013 CAF AFCON qualifier match against Liberia also at the Independence Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has said that neither the Federation as a corporate body nor top officials as individuals are putting any undue pressure on the head coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi as regards the match against Namibia and other matches in tow.

Kim K Banned Rihanna from Kanye’s Dressing Room in UK

The British tabloids are reporting that Kim Kardashian banned Rihanna from Kanye West’s dressing room during his recent “Watch the Throne” tour concerts at London’s 02.
According to The Sun newspaper, the reality star doesn’t want her rapper boyfriend hanging out with other women on his own, and with Rihanna’s flirtatious reputation, she wasn’t taking any chances when she wasn’t at The O2 arena for his shows with Jay-Z.

The Sun claims Kim is not a fan of Rihanna ever since the young singer was romantically linked to her brother Rob Kardashian several months ago.

Nigerian Pastor Sent To Prison For Drugs In Australia

Pastor Joshua Esosa is from Edo State he recounted how he had been arrested, framed up and jailed for a crime he said that he never committed;
"I spent about 8 hell months in that prison, from February 2011 to September 2011 for a crime I had not committed. I was traumatised for a sin I knew nothing about probably because I am a black man and a Nigerian. I nearly went mad for what I never imagined in my life. Over my dead body that I will deal on drugs as a man of God, my yes remains yes, I am not guilty. As I speak now, I do not know on which ground or why I was released because according to the sentence I was not supposed to have been set free before May 2012.
"One thing I want the world to know is that, no matter the evidences manufactured against me, I am innocent. No matter the level of conspiracy against me, I am guiltless. The God I serve cannot be put to shame because He did not fail Abraham, He did not fail Hannah, He did not fail Job etc. and He can never fail me. I am on my knees.”

According to him“I am Pastor Joshua Esosa from Edo state. My story is so sad, humiliating and painful each time I remember that bitter experience of 2nd February 2011. On this day, I just closed from the church and went straight home in twelfth district in Vienna to an apartment provided for me by the church because as at of this time I had problems with my wife and because of the nature of the society we are living in, we were trying to sort out things living separately. "At about 11pm on this day, my wife called me and said that she was sick and that I should come home to take care of the children so that she could go to the hospital. It was very unusual that I felt somehow. However, I told her that it was already too late because it would take me about an hour to get to there now and whether she could not wait till the next day. She insisted that I should please try to come. So, I now went to see her. When I got there it was around 12midnight and I had to press the bell because I did not have the key. And before I could open the door the police had already accosted and apprehended me and said, ‘You drug dealer, drug dealer, drug dealer’. "And I said, what; me a drug dealer? I did not even resist them as I allowed them to search me.

They searched me and found €600 with the church cash card and said, ‘Yeah this is the drug money’. I told them that €400 of that €600 was the money of the church that I had withdrawn few hours ago from AKH and that if they go to the bank they would see that what I had told them was the truth… "Before the first hearing they said that they had found powder which I had used in mixing drugs in my room and I told them that the only thing I knew that I had there in my room was powdered yam and I did not have any other powder and if they had found any other thing in my room it meant they had put it there. They said that they had also found black canvas in my room that was exactly the same type the drug dealer had worn and therefore it was evidence against me.

On the court day my witness now brought the powdered yam to the court for the police to see that it was not the type of powder they had conceived in their minds. "The judge now queried them why had they not done an examination of the powder in the laboratory first before coming to the conclusion that they had found a powder which I had used in mixing drugs? They now brought eight people to come and testify against me that I had sold drugs to them, but I thank God that six of the people said that they did not know me except those two people that were in the prison. And importantly too, one of these people that were supposed to have testified against me told the court that I had not been the one because he still had bought drugs from the person they had been looking for while I was still in prison.

 Again the judge ignored this information. "I was finally sentenced around ending of July 2011 and on September 23rd 2011 I was released. I was freed on a Friday and usually our prison closes on Fridays 12pm so while the door of our prison was opening that day I was let out, I was thinking that they were bringing in a new person but was surprised when I was told to pack my things within 5 minutes and leave. I had a bad feeling going through these sad moments within these few seconds and reacted to know why I should be asked to leave in 5 minutes under such command after having been kept here for so long. The person who brought the message said that he had told me, he closed the door and left.

My roommates celebrated with me and helped me to pack my things. 5 minutes time he actually came, pushed me out and gave me €50 for my transport and asked me to come on the coming Monday to take any of my remaining things. Men gossip more than men....Really?

I was driving on my way to the office  when I heard this yesterday….the only word that came out my mouth was Interesting...........

The myth that women gossip more than men has been disapproved as studies have shown that men of “nowadays” gossip more than women.
“It is commonly believed that women are the ones who love to spread rumours, and gossip about their friends behind their backs…but today, men…are worse! Men…love a bit of scandal, and will do anything they can to be centre of attention with their colleagues and peers.”

A new study carried out recently by psychology lecturers at the Western Canadian Undergraduate University, Canada, claims that although men and women love to gossip, chatter tends to bring guys closer, and tear female friends apart.

The study found that men chat about shared activities such as sports, which automatically brings them closer while women chat about physical appearance – which can endanger friendships.

Yet another study recently conducted by global research company, Onepoll, revealed that men spend an average of 76 minutes a day chatting and gossiping with their friends or work colleagues, compared to just 52 minutes for women.

The study also found that the favourite gossip topics for men include the antics of drunken friends, old school friends, rumours about possible relationships in the office or the boss, promotions, sex, salaries and the most attractive girl at work…while women were found to be more likely to complain about other women, other people’s sex lives amongst others.

The study further found that office is the preferred place for men to exchange gossip and that guys are happiest when chatting with work colleagues, and 58 per cent admit that being a gossip makes them feel “part of the gang”.

The researchers add that women also love to talk about news but rather than focusing on politics or government issues, news about soap operas and celebrities are more likely to cause a debate. And any type of relationship is up for discussion – whether it is their own, their friends, their friends’ friends or their bond with their mother-in-law.

Ghanaian student’s brain with his heart ripped off and eaten by a Kenyan student

Alexander Kinyua 21(ex- student of Morgan State University) has been charged the Harford County Sheriff's Office said yesterday Thursday May 31with first-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault for killing his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, who was a native of Ghana, with a knife and then ate his heart and part of his brain.

Investigators said the magnitude of what happened to the victim transcends just about any other violent crime they've seen. Detectives said Kinyua expressed no reason or remorse for his behavior.

Kinyua, an engineering student at Morgan State, was kicked out of the school about two weeks ago.

Police said he moved back into his family's home in the 500 block of Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne, where Agyei-Kodie had been renting a room.

Officials said the living arrangement turned horrific within a week. Detectives said Agyei-Kodie had left to go jogging about a week ago without any of his personal effects, and had not been seen since. The Kinyuas reported him missing on May 25.

 A few days later, police got a call from the suspect's father about a gruesome discovery in his basement. "Specifically, a human head and two human hands in two tins," said Harford County Sheriff Jesse Bane.

Police said the family confronted Kinyua, who denied that they were human and said they were animal remains. Deputies executed a search and seizure warrant at the home on Wednesday, where they discovered the remains.

Tell mummy if a man touches your body ok or anybody ok? Mummy loves you……fair enough he or she can tell you but what happens when they don’t  and your eyes cannot be possibly be with them all the time. It’s a nightmare to any mother especially when there seems to be no solution to this…….this is a very sad story….a story that you cannot help but to ask yourself if this was my own child what would I do to help her come out of this?

The story of a 10-year old girl, a victim of sexual abuse who revealed recently that she cannot do without having sex with men daily.
She was sexually abused at the age of 7 by an old man who was her neighbour at Mile 12, Lagos State. The man whom she called Baba lived with her Aunt in the same compound.
The Primary Two pupil confessed that if she did not see any man to have sex with her in her area, she would go to a popular under bridge at Mile 12 Lagos and beg for sex from touts.

She came from Enugu state to live with her aunt in Lagos after the death of her father. She said the man (Baba) usually called her to his apartment whenever his wife and her aunt were not around and will put his finger inside her private part.

 “He will tell me to come back home immediately our school closes and when I reach home he will be waiting for me to finger my vagina,” she narrated. She said with time he started having real sex with her. After the man man moved out of their area, she resorted to meeting other men in the area without her aunt knowing. She said she has become addicted to sex and cannot do without it.

“When I desire sex and I do not see anybody to do it in my area, I will go under the bridge and beg the touts to do it for me,” she said. The young girl’s teacher who noticed some abnormal behavior in the girl was able to get her to admit to her problem.

The teacher contacted her aunt who contacted an NGO for assistance. Community Health Support and Empowerment Initiative, COHSAEI, has now taken up the challenge to rehabilitate her. The programme coordinator of the NGO, Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, noted that her case was very pathetic because of her age. She said her group took up the challenge to rehabilitate her because it was clear if nothing was done urgently her future was in danger.

She said her organisation has started the process of rehabilitating her by carrying out series of tests on her to ascertain her health condition Ingbia stressed the urgent need to relocate her from her present environment and start a new life for her. She said her organisation has not been able to do so because of the financial cost.
